  1. There is no good reason to eat a mechanically processed fake food. I do not eat foods with words I cannot pronounce on the labels.

Eat real foods. Real fat. Real sugar. Real' date=' good quality grains and carbs.

It helps with satiety and it helps you avoid that deprived feeling that leads to binges and grazing.

You aren't exactly eating a portion so large that it's going to hurt you, and in my opinion, if I'm only eating a few bites of something I want them to be wonderful.

The idea that certain food groups are "bad" and to be avoided is a dieting mindset reinforced by years of trying (unsuccessfully, I might add) to lose weight.

Ditch that idea the same way you ditched 85% of your stomach.

You'll feel better and your body will thank you.

Do u follow any plan... Veg, low carb, etc.... The thought of full fat Natural organic, REAL food is so appealing to me...... But I've never ate that way and I'm kinda confused... U seem to have a wealth of knowledge about it! I'm only familiar w starve then binge mode -- pre sleeve- sleeved the 25th of feb-- and Atkins which I preferred--- other stuff I'm pretty clueless about

    Thanks

  2. Looking forward to no longer stretching out my clothes before I can even put them on!

Can't wait to buy a bra that does not look like two tents stitched together!

My watches are all waiting patiently for me...they want to be worn' date=' and I want to wear them!!!! So sick of not being able to wear my favorite watches.

I am really, really, really looking forward to dancing with my kids!!!![/quote']

I know! I think I have unfortunately perfected a way of stretching my shirts which always involves the stitching being roped out!!! Lol

  3. The ingredients of the Ultimate Body Applicator:

The claim that the results are not temporary:

How long do the results last from the Ultimate Body Applicator?

The results you see from the Ultimate Body Applicator are not temporary' date=' as you may have experienced or heard about with many body wraps that simply cause Water loss. The Ultimate Body Applicator helps tighten, tone, and firm in a manner that produces lasting results—without Water loss.

As is true with any weight loss or body slimming, you can reverse the results you see from the Ultimate Body Applicator with poor eating habits and lack of exercise. This is why we say, depending on your eating habits and level of daily activity, you can expect your results to last approximately anywhere from 2 - 6 months.

Using Defining Gel daily can help you make sure that you improve and maintain your results from the Ultimate Body Applicators. Continued use of the Ultimate Body Applicators will also help you achieve continued results and maintain results you may be reversing with eating and lifestyle habits.

    From myself:

Topical fat reducers are common, some bodybuilders like Lipoderm Ultra. Supposedly there are agents that move the ingredients through your skin and into your system.

    .

hydrocotyl: a diuretic http://botanical.com...h/hydcol46.html diuretics and sleevers who are trying to get water in may be a problem.

horse chestnut, blood thinner may conflict with meds

Horse chestnut contains a substance that thins the blood. It also makes it harder for Fluid to leak out of veins and capillaries and weakly promotes Fluid loss through the urine to help prevent water retention (edema).

This one's main claim is that it removes toxins, the water removal can be achieved through saran wrap which I won't use because when I wrap myself in it my wife says,"Leftovers again?" Old joke, sorry.

:) great info thanks!!! I bet she likes your leftovers tho;)

  4. i think i may have had my last Protein shake for a long while...ive had it.

however' date=' here are my 2 cents on the subject: i think the Premeir Protein ready-to-drink shakes are the best. it is available at costco in vanilla and chocolate. both flavors are really good.

I cannot stand isopure-- too gritty and expensive.

For powders, i think "Body by Vi" has the best powder. it mixes easily and doesnt have that protein aftertaste. However, Body by Vi has to be bought from a distributor- you can google it. hope this helps.[/quote']

Hey!! :) Body by vi is good?? My coworker sells it?? It's pricy too tho!! I wish I could find samples of stuff !

  5. I think it's prob fairly common and I'm sorry your struggling, be careful u dont want to bust your tummy!!!!!

I'd really recommend speaking to a therapist/counselor--- one who works with bariatric OR eating disorders only ---- professionally speaking it is imperative to try and eat the emotions triggers etc down before true weightloss can happen - I struggle w munchies and wanting something when I should not

Take care of your self and if u do not have iinsurance or can't afford one then an intern can help--- but make sure it is in the eating disorder arena!! Good luck maybe try writing die. Triggers that make I eat want to eat And try to come to the realization that this is something u chose and sonething U Want u want to to do this u gave a choice - a therapist once told me once u realize it it is YOUR Choice...... It's easier to choose not let the emotions control u:)

    After surgery I was 319!!!!!

    Now I am 303.6

  7. So I knew going into this I would be on my own when it came to my aftercare since I was having surgery in Mexico. I have spent hours and hours researching to prepare myself for when I got home. What I can't find an answer for is my regular meds. I take prescription Vitamin D' date=' allergy, and blood pressure meds. I do not anticipate my primary keeping me on BP meds after I see her this afternoon because we have been discussing stopping it altogether. My concern is the allergy and calcitrol (vitamin D for hypoparathyroidism). When can I start retaking them? I had surgery 3/1 so I'm 5 days out.[/quote']

Personal opinion -- u can start them again-- is there ANY wls place / Dr you can call OR sone states have a state nurse hotline..... Good luck hope u are feeling ok!!!

  9. I had my sleeve on 2/25 as well. The first couple days were not fun' date=' but I can also tolerate drinking fluids without a problem (about 1/2 cup, rest, finish the other 1/2 cup). Started creamy Soups today. I was able to finish one of those Campbell's Tomato "soup on the go". I've also had good luck with Isopure clear Protein from GNC - 40 grams of protein, so I'm sure to get my 60 grams in daily! Different flavors, I like the Mango/Peach the best! I understand I am doing much better than most and am VERY GREATFUL! You are not alone![/quote']

FYI----Where I live that flavor is on sale half price!!!

  10. Well I really need some feed back on this one. Do I begin fertilty treatments or have the surgery first? The problem is the age factor. My ob/gyn has told us because of issues with my husband and my age we would need fertility treatments to have a higher chance of concieving. However' date=' he is not willing to do treatments after 46 years of age and guess who turns 46 this year, ME! He is willing to try 3 cycles which will give me a weight gain of course. The road to surgery is just lacking insurance approval, waiting on me to tell them to submit. If I have the surgery I woudl have to wait a year before we could try and that puts me closer to 48.

I have fought thru months of mental and emotional stress, research, reading, praying all o get to a comfortable place about doing the surgery now this. And it's a major this! My ob/gyn has no issues with my weight or co-morbities because they are "controlled" with meds. I am confused as to which way to I go. Any comments are shared experiences would ne greatly appreciated. Thinking about the increased weight with treatments and pregnancy if that would be healthy enough to carry a baby. So many things whirling around in my mind.[/quote']

Are there any doctors u CAN go to after --- ? I plan to do fertility tx after but I'm also 32 now--- do what u feel us right-- a healthy weight is a better chance of a healthy pregnancy I believe good luck!!!! :)

  11. I have found it is the things like bending over without bending knees or getting up from a chair or bed that set it off. If you think about your internal stitches like a rubber band around your wrist..if you pull on that rubber band sharp enough you create a welt. So the pain happens as the stitch rubs over that welt. You have to let it heal and be very careful about certain movements.

Thanks that makes sense my belly button areas really been hurting since hope all is ok with it!

  12. I asked my doc about the recumbent bike after my hubby purchased one for me. I need a knee replacement and figured the bike would be better than walking. She told me for the first 6 weeks walking is better since the exercise works on the entire core. She is afraid by just using the bike I could get a hiatal hernia' date=' but did say if it was all I could do to at least wear a cinch of some kind when riding. There was a cinch around my mid torso when I woke up from surgery, so I could use that. I have been wearing a Spanx type of bodysuit from the time I get up until I go to bed so that would be sufficient too.[/quote']

Ohh ok - I had a hiatal hernia repair with the wls

  13. Well' date=' 4 days down, 3 to go! My date is March 7th and I couldn't be happier. The only thing on my mind that is bothering me has nothing to do with the surgery...

So my friend and I have been trying to lose our extra weight for some years now after our children. I have been trying with no luck at all for nearly 7 years. She has been trying and has lost about half of what she needs to for about 2 1/2 years. The difference is I have done this before, with my first child I dropped the excess within the first 3-4 yrs. I was 20 years old for goodness sake. My kids are 8 1/2 yrs apart. I had my youngest at 28, nearly 10 years after the first. I'll turn 35 on March 6, the day before my surgery. Things are not the same this time. Everything I did the first time is NOT working. Trust me, I have ALL the willpower in the world and motivation. My weight is literally on my mind 24/7! This time I have Hypothyroidism, PCOS, Metabolic Syndrome & I'm Pre-Diabetic! She has NONE of these and I had none the first time.

About two years ago I had looked into LapBand, she was onboard, even emailed me pics of people she knew of before & afters. She once even told me she was doing this even if she had to gain extra weight! I didn't get LapBand, which now I know was a blessing, and neither did she. Since then she has lost quite a bit of her weight on her own.

The point I'm getting at is now since I have decided to do this, she keeps calling me a CHEATER. The first time she said it I couldn't believe it. But now she even has her daughter, which is my dd's best friend, calling me that too. I just feel irritated and like a failure before I even get started. This weekend while on my pre-op diet, she saw how tough it's going to be and I thought "Ok, maybe she's going to see how tough it is and stop?" No, now she's telling me this isn't worth it, that she likes food too much and am I sure I know what this entails. She also proceeds to tell me what yummy food they're eating out as she knows I'm sipping my broth! She's the ink one giving me this kind of grief, yet she's one of the people I'm closest to.

I guess I just needed to write this down to get it out of my head and maybe now I can let it go. Thank you to everyone for all the support on this forum. You guys/gals have helped me so much and I am very excited for all of our lives to be changed for the better![/quote']

One of my classmates said:( she had bypass years ago)-- it is easier.. And why is that wrong --?
