Just found out I am approved for Surgery for March 27th!! This is getting real

I attribute the weight loss I achieved when I was banded at the age of 35 with the conception and birth of my two little girls born when I was 37 and 39! I had been trying for years prior to the banding to get pregnant. The weight loss made me fertile again and it just might do the same for you!! I wish you luck with your efforts to have children! My girls mean way more to me than being thin did!!! Unfortunately I gained all my weight back with these pregnancies and could never get the band to work again for me which is why I am here now!! I am bummed about gaining all my weight back but I so do not regret having my little girls!! But now here I go again Getting sleeved at the end of this month. Hopefully to lose this weight for the LAST time!!!

I haven't been sleeved yet but that is the premise behind getting the sleeve. It forces portion control upon us!!

I was banded 10 years ago and actually regretted telling so many people! I felt like they watched every bite of food I ever put in my mouth and that I was the object of a lot of gossip! So this time around my plan was to learn from my past experiences and be very selective of who I told, however I am going through this process with my best friend and she is just so dang excited she is telling everyone! So it has blown my intentions through the roof! It feels like everyone in our social circle already knows!! But I have to say that I have loved having someone to go through this with so I will take my lack of privacy about this in stride!! I am still not telling my in-laws though

I am scheduled for March 27th. I haven't heard whether or not my insurance has approved it! I am getting anxious to hear back from the doctors office!! I can't wait for this surgery to take place and to start my new sleeved life!!

Wow! What a story!! I am glad to not have my band any more and am waiting anxiously to be sleeved but I have to admit that I am working on getting ready to emotionally handle the first few weeks of the sleeve that I know will be difficult! I can't imagine going through this without the time to become mentally prepared!! I wish you the best of luck!!

I had the lapband for lost 10 years with crappy results and here I am excited for a new weight loss surgery to lose 150 pounds that the lapband failed to help me with! I lost weight at the beginning of my banded life but started regaining during my two subsequent pregnancies until i regained it all back and that darned band didnt do anything to stop it!! i never felt much restriction with the band!! I am scheduled for surgery at the end of this month. I hope my successes with the sleeve will be similar to yours as well!!

I am also in MD waiting to be sleeved! I have a date for March 27,, I can't wait. I also will be doing it at AAMC! The process is entirely too long!! I think our insurance companies want us to give up along the way so they don't have to pay

What is a husky Sleevers?

I had my almost 10 year old band removed last November and I will be sleeved at the end of next month! I am hoping the sleeve turns out to be everything the band promised to be but wasn't for me!! Good luck to you!!

My new life starts on March 27th! I can't wait!! Yeah for all of us!!

I grew up in a normally dysfunctional family my mom and dad were both overweight and occasionally dieted. It was not an obsession for them. I was one of six kids born right smack in the middle and the only one overweight as a child!! My brothers and sisters all struggle with weight as adults but none of them but me experienced this as a child!! And I am the largest of all of them as adults . It sure will be nice to reverse things for once in my life!! I would love to be the smallest of them all . With the sleeve this just might happen
