Sonic also has a new selection of diet teas sweetened with Splenda...I had the diet green tea, it was good. They have a few others too, mango, peach & some type berry.

I found a minute maid diet lemonade at Target by accident...they have regular & pink...15 cal & 2 sugars a serving (8oz) so good!!!

Sounds great!!! I'm 2 wks post op tomorrow & my recovery sounds just like yours. The being tired easy really bums me out! At my 1 week checkup the dr said of course that was normal & will subside. Today is my first day back at work & I'm feeling good so far. I'm down 19 lbs since surgery /lost 20 in pre-op diet too for a total of 39 so I'm pleased. Keep up the good work & congrats!

U asked so I'm telling! I will be 2 wks post op tomorrow & my husband & I did it this weekend. I am of course off my birth control pills so we used a condom. Even as a single gal I always had my pills as a back up to a condom so I was nervous! We laughed that we both acted like 2 nervous 16 year olds their first time. He will be getting snipped soon, our family is complete but it was kinda funny we were both nervous with just the 1 method!! I held up fine, no pains or anything! :-)

Went for my 1 week post-op checkup...I'm actually a week & a day post op...my blood pressure was NORMAL!!!!! I couldn't believe it, I had the nurse check it again & then again before I left! Surgeon said no more BP meds!!!! I can't believe it! I'm 32lbs down but that includes liver shrink diet weight too! I just had to share! :-)

I've been improving my protein intake daily but today I woke up & took a shower & it took a lot out of me! I thought I'd be more entergetic almost a week out. Maybe I'm expecting too much? It's just scary b/c I actually felt better during the weekend.

Refrained beans (fat free) are on my list...I just had mashed potatoes with a shake of Mrs Dash that tasted like Heaven!!! Can u tell I just started soft foods today?!!!

I had surgery the same day as you, My big incision hurts, the one that my stomach got pulled thru. I know that ones gonna hurt worse but ugh...that feeling is annoying! I keep a pillow on top of mr at all times. It seems to help. Sorry u are having problems!

Congrats!!! I am 1 week post op tomorrow! I lost 20lbs on my liver shrink diet & I couldn't stand it either so I weighed yesterday & I'm down 10 lbs since surgery! I can't tell except in my face. It does feel good to see it pay off!!! I move to soft foods next week!

I have blue cross blue shield Federal, Basic Option. Can anyone explain what out of pocket expenses are? It says mine are $5000. In the explanation of benefits it says I will pay $150 admission fee/surgeon fee & $150 per night I'm there (2 nights) we have no deductible with basic option so I'm curious how the out of pocket comes into play or does it? I was reading the explanation of benefits like I would only pay the $450 total.

Good luck tomorrow, all of you! I was sleeved on Sept 10th, everyday I wake up a little stronger & I just remember checking in for surgery & bring prepped. It was all so surreal! I had a year of appointments, classes, etc & it was finally happening was so crazy! I had a GREAT anesthesia nurse who had had the surgery too so in addition to her great drugs she provides to calm my nerves, it was nice to know she had been there! My biggest problem in the hospital was peeing after they took my catheter out & my largest incision is still painful. Nothing life shattering its just a nagging pain where they cut the muscles & the stomach was removed. You all will be in my thoughts tomorrow!

I had surgery the same day & that's my only spot that really hurts. It's nothing compared to my c-section but still painful. It hurts to stand up straight. I still have some lingering gas trapped in my body I'm trying to work out also!

I got sent home with Dilaudid & an anti nausea which are both tiny, I've only taken one pain pill & haven't touched the anti nausea meds. My third pill is My anti acid pill, it seems huge, I think, b/c I can't swallow a big amount of water with it. I've gotten it down 2 days in a row that I've been home. My dr said swallowing them & the RX meds i was already prescribed was perfectly fine. Good luck, I hope it gets easier for u!

Congrats! I had surgery Tuesday, today being Friday I don't feel like I'm sipping enough & the gas pains are minimal with the gas-x strips but I can definitely feel the gas moving in my abdomen & im burping a lot!! My biggest pain is the bigger scar, the one where they actually remove the stomach from. I can feel the muscles underneath it & have to really be careful how I move. It's less sore today than yesterday.

After almost a year of planning I'm headed to surgery!!! Thanks to everyone on here who has helped me pre-op....here's to more learning post-op! Good luck & prayers to my fellow September 10th sleevers!

Seems very strange...everything I did was submitted to insurance, my seminar & nutrition classes were provided free of charges. There are several programs in my town & none of them Charged anything like that.

Endless we have the same date!! Good luck to you!
