What kind of cup are you drinking from?
I have the eco drink vitamin mixes purchased from Sam's and it comes with a bottle. I drink using those. I also have a 5 ounce glass measuring glass that I use for measuring soups and other things. I also use it for drinks as well. I found it at Wal-Mart.

Doing too good?
- Newly sleeved 2.28.13
Hang in there - it will get easier. My first week I had chicken broth, Protein shakes, tried to drink Water, crystal light. The pain will get better. If you do not have any gas-x strips try some. I also take Prilosec twice a day which helps. Each of us has slightly different experiences and some other posts on what they did might help. I still have pain and had hiatal hernia repair with sleeve. Keeping you in prayers!- FEBRUARY SLEEVERS 2013....how you doing after you've been Sleeved
You might check out consignment shops, Goodwill, Salvation Army. With GW & SA you have to look through but if you save $$$ and find a few things it is worth it.- FEBRUARY SLEEVERS 2013....how you doing after you've been Sleeved
- Lower BMI
- Acid Reflux
Before surgery I had an UGI, then referred for Endoscopy. I had a hiatal hernia among other issues. Doctor gave me meds for the reflux. I was sleeved on the 19th and am still taking some meds for reflux/indigestion but did well. My surgeon repaired hernia when he did the sleeve. If doctor says no to the sleeve, ask him why. Do not give up!- FEBRUARY SLEEVERS 2013....how you doing after you've been Sleeved
I was sleeved 2/19 and I struggled with severe back pain even with pain medication. I went to see my massage therapist, it was painful but helped get me feeling better. I have a moist/dry heating pad you heat in microwave and started sleeping on it and my pain is almost completely gone. I used the heating pad several times during the day too. I am sleeping on my side now. I hope you are better soon.- FEBRUARY SLEEVERS 2013....how you doing after you've been Sleeved

How are you doing? You have been in my thoughts and prayers- Hernia after sleeve surgery?
I hope your surgery goes well!- FEBRUARY SLEEVERS 2013....how you doing after you've been Sleeved
Post op check-up with surgeon. Everything went well. The back pain seems to be muscle pain. I have an appointment with my massage therapist tomorrow afternoon and I know she can help. I did not want to do anything without checking with my doctor first. Since my first appointment with the surgeon and today I have lost 16 pounds and I am thrilled. I move my diet up to stage 2 liquid. I am excited to see how things go in my next phase. When my back feels better I can start exercising some. I will be staying home a few more days.- FEBRUARY SLEEVERS 2013....how you doing after you've been Sleeved

How about coconut flavoring in the vanilla. I know coconut is off limits but what about flavoring/oil?- FEBRUARY SLEEVERS 2013....how you doing after you've been Sleeved

My sleeve date was 2/19/13. I came home on Thursday, 2/21. I do not remember much of Tuesday due to morphine pump. I had lost a few pounds pre-op and was pleased with my weigh-in at hospital. I was on IV's until check-out on Thursday and had fluid gain which was a little bit of a downer but as my friend told me, do not weigh as frequently but Today, Sunday the 24th I weighed (think Sunday will be my weigh day) and the fluid has come off plus two pounds. I am pleased and looking forward to being healthy. I follow up with the surgeon on Tuesday the 26th. My husband is so supportive, taking great care of me. I too am struggling with pain. But I know it will get better. I have my 60th birthday in May and I hope I am well on my way! I will be happy if I can lose two pounds a week (more than I have ever lost consistently). Sorry I rambled on but I am wishing all of you wonderful success in this new life!- 100 Pounds gone 10 pounds to goal
CONGRATULATIONS, you have an awesome story, thanks for sharing. I am not one week out from surgery and I am looking forward to being able to share my story!- Surgery

I am taking it one step at a time, one day at a time!- Surgery tomorrow on the 19th
I am on my way home. Surgery went well, no nausea at all! We live two hours from the hospital and I am ready to be in my own bed tonight! More later.- 2 weeks pre op little irritated and depressed...
