    I'm a leaker

I am sorry you are suffering with a leak, surgery is difficult enough without serious complications. Heal quickly!
  6. My weight loss has been very satisfactory....I have figured out the rhythms of holding steady and then loss so I am okay with this. I was 320 at my highest weight. 310 date of surgery and currently holding steady at 214, I am wearing xl or large and size 16, I look quite good now but would like to get down to 165 I can eat almost anything with no problem other than rice...it's uncomfortable and of no consequence since it holds no nutritional value. It's funny I freaked out in the beginning immediately post op because I could not eat much...now I love the restriction:)

"you must feel so much better now..."

Okay..so I have you all beat regarding insensitive and ignorant dummies. I had a woman in my clothing shop with her little tennis buddy and they noticed I lost weight....my husband also recently closed his bakery 8 months ago so I could expand my store into his space. ( his was a thankless business I was happy to see go) she rudely said is that why he closed after I very openly said I had weight loss surgery. She laughed. I was taken aback, seriously..what a mean spirited jerk. And cheap I might add. She made a big deal about her purchase...I really wanted to tell her off but it's a small village and one of the reasons I am so busy is my personality..and I've got great lines too but I know people feel comfortable shopping because I am easy going and nice. I have never had someone be so rude and joke about my weight...and to combine it with my husbands biz....I truly despised her...Lol, still do. I am growing a bit tired of all the comments but most mean well.....she was the only one I found upsetting. She also looks like a toad...like I have always said.....at least I can lose weight, she's just ugly!
  15. Congrats ! I was sleeved on 1/21/13 and am down 95 lbs and am hoping to hit 100 by the 21st of July

    Today is the day..

The anticipation of surgery was harder than recovery. I was terrified but finally just went through with it. I had quite a bit of work done...two genius repair as well as adhesions removed from a surgery 27 years ago which was an open surgery. I was told I might not be able to have laparoscopic surgery because of this prior surgery and remembered the pain of the open surgery. No problems, text book recovery and laparoscopic! Try not to be too anxious guys, there are plenty of us on the losing side that have done just great:) good luck

    Calories

At almost 6 months out I average 900 to 1000 calories daily.....sometimes more than that sometimes less.

"you must feel so much better now..."

Oh yeah!!! I had a woman in my store yesterday..and not only did she say " you were REALLY overweight but you must feel soooooo much better now" I think she said you were so look overweight 3 times at least! I am surprised she didn't say you were disgustingly obese !!! I don't mind the people who say you are so pretty or beautiful now.....and then quickly but you were always pretty....Lol, don't mind that at all!

Questioning If I Can Do This

My food funeral lasted over a year....except for the couple of days/ weeks where I could stick to medifast. The sleeve really helps keep me on the right path. I am so glad I finally went through with the operation

Questioning If I Can Do This

I couldn't lose weight pre op...on and off diets the whole time I was going thru appointments.....at the last crunch I dropped 10 lbs. Now I am down 103 lbs from my highest weight. This surgery changed the game for me
  22. I am down 93 lbs in just over 5 months and the people are like WOW! I love the ability I have to squeeze by people in a crowded room without saying excuse me a thousand times....I like crossing my legs because I can...my collar bones have reappeared! I love the sleeve and the restriction it gives me!
  23. We are only 5 ,6 months out....I understand we lose 1/2 of our excess weight in the first 6 months,1/4 in the next 6 and 1/4 over the next 12, or something like that. I know these are general statistics but we are all ages of that so I think we will be successful
