  3. Pretty sure I hit my 3 week stall a week early. I'm thinking it has something to do with me losing 20 lbs on my pre-op diet + 18 lbs the first week and a half post-op. I'm averaging between 59 and 77 grams of Protein per day and getting in all of my fluids (60+ oz), so I'm pretty sure that's not it. I haven't even started pureed or soft foods yet, just liquids. And, for me, that is Protein shakes, Water, and an occasional 12 oz bottle of G2. I'll have Soup broth a couple of nights a week if I'm feeling it. Any ideas on how to break it? I'm pretty sure this has been posted several times, but I can't seem to find the post.
  4. I would love for you to come! Can you send me your e-mail address for facebook and I'll send you an invitation?

  7. My NUT just e-mailed me back and told me that I can take gummy vites but that I need to add a b1 thiamin supplement to it, because the gummies don't contain thiamin so I will be at risk for thiamin defiency. Woohoo! Small victories. Going to start taking them on Friday after I confirm w/ my surgeon that I can go ahead and take them since I'm still on liquids.

  9. I'm almost 2 weeks out. My surgeon wants me to crush all my medications for now. Not sure why they want chewable vites, though. I'll find out at my check-up on Friday. I originally bought the Bariatric Advantage chewable multivites after they (Bariatric Advantage/Catalina Lifesciences) ENSURED me that none of their products contain fish or seafood (both, of which, I'm allergic to + iodine.) They're liars. Once I got the bottle and opened it, I realized it said it contains fish in the allergen label. I was so mad! Over $20 wasted for no reason. So frustrated!
  10. I'll send ya a private message. It's privacy settings are set to "Secret" so you can't view it unless you're a member. That way all of our members that aren't telling people about their surgeries won't have to worry about others finding out. The link is: https://www.facebook.com/groups/April2013VSGers/
  11. They may not be complete, but it's better than nothing at all, right? And, if your labs come back off, you can always add in a separate Vitamin of whatever you're lacking. Heck, I'll even stick those gummy vites in my Magic Bullet and pulverize the heck out of them. Shouldn't be a problem then. I have a facebook group for March, April, and May 2013 sleevers. It's an awesome support group! If you'd like to join (I saw you're scheduled for the beginning of May), you're more than welcomed to. Those are some of the ones I was looking at! Thanks for the photo. I'll definitely keep them in mind. I don't understand if surgeons approve the calcium chews (like the Bariatric Advantage chewy bites and calcium chews) why gummy multivitamins are such a big deal.
  12. I can't take my Vitamins. They make me sick, like close to puking sick - and that is just chewing them up without swallowing. Disgusting. Problem is that I cannot have iodine in any of my vitamins, because I'm allergic to it (and also to fish/shellfish), so I'm very limited on a Multivitamin. Given the fact that I'm supposed to take nothing but chewables, I'm even more screwed. I researched all the Vitamin sites for weeks on end, and all I found that I could take was Bellybar Prenatal Vitamins. And, seeing as they make me sick, now those are out. Looks like it is going to have to be gummy or nothing. I'm so annoyed that they make tons of gummy vitamins without iodine but, like, no chewables at all. Do you take gummy vitamins? I know a lot of NUTs don't approve of them, as they're not "complete." I can supplement with additional vitamins to make my vitamins complete, though. I'm not worried about that. It just looks like, at this point, it's going to have to be gummy or nothing. Bah. E-mailing my nutritionist but just wanted to see if anyone here takes gummies.
  13. Just sent you both invitations
  14. Very sleepy and drugged. I had a hard time waking up. I wasn't in a lot of pain. I had some nagging left side aching pain. I still have it a little over a week out.
  15. I was sleeved last Monday, April 8th. If I didn't have the accountability of having to meet with my surgical team next week for my check-up, I wouldn't even be drinking Protein shakes at all. I can't stand them post-op. They're all too sweet and rich, and give me a sugar headache and nausea like I've just eaten half a birthday cake by myself - or something equally as rich & sugar-filled. I've tried unflavored protein a couple of times, but it's not sitting well with my new stomach. =\ I feel gross. I don't want to drink anything aside from Smart Water. No soft foods allowed 'til April 30th. Gah. Is it normal for your tastes to change this much after surgery?
