I know exactly how you feel Angie- I'm flatlining by 3 in the arvo- I would also really appreciate some advice
Hi KelBel, I spoke to my dietician today and believes I'm not eating or drinking enough. Moved on to the mushy stage today and she has encouraged me to eat cruskits (even though they're crunchy they dissolve easily in your mouth) with high Protein toppings such as egg, cottage ricotta or Philly cheese, shaved deli meats etc. She has also suggested I snack on Greek yoghurt with soft fruit mixed through. I had one cruskit with cottage cheese and shaved ham on it this afternoon and it was AMAZING!!! Just to have something crunchy that also went down well was really exciting!

Hi everyone! I'm now 3 weeks post op and about to start my soft food diet tomorrow. I've been feeling really tired for the past 3 days. I felt really great and energetic in weeks 1 and 2, but now I'm just lethargic and tired. Any advice??

I know I shouldn't weigh myself everyday, but it's just too tempting when they're on my bathroom floor!!! May need my husband to hide them and only bring them out once a week for me??

Hi Angiep' date=' if its any consolation I have put on 500 gr today too have not lost anything for a few days. As for eggs I sometimes add one to a smoothie as I am worried about my protien but can't eat a scrambled egg, saw recipe for a soft billed egg with cottage cheese & mayo so might try that.BizzyLizzy hope all will be ok fingers crossed for you.

Thanks Kazza Wa, I'm just a stress head! Got on the scales this morning and had lost the 500g plus another 300, so 800g loss today! I'm at 102kg so I've lost 11.9kg since the start of my preop 4 weeks ago.

Hi Angiep I am almost 3 weeks post op ( 5Feb) & have lost 9 kilos but I didn't have to do the pre op diet. Can drink smoothies juices etc but when it comes to eating Mushie foods I can only eat a couple of spons & feel sick & full. How are you going?Hi Kazza Wa! You're doing great! 9kg is an awesome loss! Since surgery I have lost 3.6kg. Actually got on the scales today and it looks like I've gained 500gms! It's probably nothing, but I was a bit disappointed when I saw it. Like you, I find liquids easy but purées seem a bit difficult. eggs really seem to give me a bit of pain, so trying to steer clear of them even though I love them!!

Hi Angie' date=' very glad to hear it all went well. You may find drinking Water really cold helps. I also struggle with Water at room temperature.[/quote']
Thanks kelliv, will give that a try. Had my first long black this morning - I love REAL coffee - got through a half cup so was really happy with that! Enjoyed every sip!

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't updated you guys sooner on my surgery! I had my sleeve done 12/2/13. Everything went well with the surgery and the surgeon was really happy with the sleeve. When I woke up I had pretty bad pain across my chest, so had lots of morphine and endone, so I was pretty wiped out that night.
I haven't had any problems getting my liquids down, the only one I have problems with is straight Water, so I just add a little hydrolite or diet cordial and it's fine. I have suffered really bad Migraines for the past three days, so I'm hoping that passes soon!
Apart from a little bit of tiredness I'm going well. The pain from the incisions is very minimal, so not a problem with that!
Pre op I was 111.8kg, day of surgery I was 106kg and today (day 5) I am 105.9kg. Not a huge weight change yet, but now that I'm home, off the IV fluids and the swelling starts to go down hopefully the weightloss will happen!

Great to hear everything went well for you KelBel! I hope everything continues to run smoothly for you.

Good luck KelBel, wishing you all the best for today
Well, I'm on the eve of my surgery!! I'm scheduled to be operated on at about 2pm tomorrow. The pre op diet has gone great and has me feel so much better than how I was when my diet consisted of a lot of junk food. It's really helped me get into a good head space and I now feel totally prepared and ready for the start of my weightloss journey.
At my heaviest I was 113.8kg. The day that I started opti I was 111.8kg and today I'm 106.0kg! So that's a loss of 5.8 kg!
Bring on tomorrow!!!

Hi everyone, my name is Angie and I'm currently on my pre-op diet in preparation for my February 12th surgery date! I'm starting to get really excited and can't wait to start living my new life! I started at 111kg with a BMI of 42, I am now 4 days into my pre-op diet and am down to 108kg. I live on the north coast of NSW, so am having my surgery with Dr Gregory Nolan at Allamanda Private Hospital on the Gold Coast. I totally trust my surgeon and am so glad that he is doing my sleeve. I look forward to chatting with you all over the coming weeks and months!

Hi everyone! Congrats to everyone on this thread for their continued weightloss!
Quick update for me... I'm now 5 weeks post op and had to have my gall bladder removed last Friday The rapid weightloss and drastic change in diet set off a really bad gall attack last Monday. All good now, on the road to recovery... Again!!!
My weight at the beginning of the pre op diet was 113.9kg, now 5 weeks post op I am 97.6kg, so very very happy and excited! Everyone that I've told about my surgery has been really supportive, especially old school friends who know how long I have struggled with my weight. I love not feeling hungry and I love not having chocolate cravings anymore! I love love love my sleeve!!
