  4. @StephF89 Hello. Sorry I wasn't on here yesterday looking at the Superbowl! However, my surgery is on the 15th of February and I am a self paying patient. Insurance wouldn't cover, so I had to do it on my own!
  5. Hello! February 15th is my date! I have never been so ready! It's been an 8 year struggle dealing with insurance after insurance! So now self paying! I hope everyone here has a safe and speedy recovery! Good Luck!

  7. Good morning. Aetna is still doing the same thing I see. 8 years ago the day before my surgery they called to tell me that they would not pay for my surgery because I hadn't been to a dietician for 6 months! You might as well get going, because they stick to there decisions!

  11. I have had 1 major surgery so far and this will be my the 2nd. I pray that everything will turnout alright! It will be okay! Think positive thoughts!
  12. Sounds like your just as anxious as I am! I have started packing my belongings, haven't got my protein drinks or vitamins yet! I will finish getting the rest of my stuff this weekend! I'm not nervous, just ready! February 15th can't get here soon enough! Next week I will have my chest x-ray and ECG!
  13. My husband also had the bypass surgery. Not only did he gain more self confidence, he went buck wild! I was supportive of him then and now he supports me 100%! Could be ego? IJS! It will be okay in the end!
  14. 8 years ago one day before I was to have the gastric bypass insurance called and said they decline to pay for the surgery because I hadn't seen a dietician for 6 months. Well 8 years later I am going back to the same doctor and I am a self paying patient! I know I am making the right decision! Good Luck! I think we will both be alright. I am having my surgery on the 15th of February! We can do this!
  15. Good morning. I am having my surgery on the 14th of February which is a Friday and my doctor told me I could return to work that following Monday which is the 18th! But I decided for myself to take off the following week. I guess it just depends on what you can tolerate and your doctor opinion.
