  1. Hi Sunette Yes so far so good, op went ok. I am stil on the liquid but transitioning to the soft fod stage which hasn't been too good but I am taking the gret advice from this site & now am starting to recoginze the signs but I will get it all eventually. The great thing is have lost 10 k since surgery. It's a huge learning experience, went to the shops with my friend today, I ordered a smoothie & looked at all the food & sort of wished I could have some but was not even hungry, I then went to check out all the lovely clothes I will be able to buy soon........yeah !!! Have you had your op yet ? I am a newbie too but we can help & support each other if you want. I am in Jane Brook, where are you?
  2. Hi Sunette I am in Perth has my op 15 days ago at Hollywood hospital.
  3. Thanks Puppyhat, I think the best thing is to stay on the liquid stage a little longer I was so excited when my 2 weeks were up as was wanting to try some food but maybe I just need a little longer to heal & try just a very small amount when I try again. Thanks for the advice & support.
  4. You guys & girls all sound so happy & successful, reading the posts gives me hope. I am 15 days post op & cam now start on the Mushie ffood stage but everything I try comes straight back up, can only keep down milky milo jelly & a tiny bit of yoghurt. I am very worried as I know I am not eating enough.
  5. Hi Angiep I am 12 days post op & still on the liquid stage. I have been having a cold milo for Breakfast plus make smoothies with frozen banana milk ice cream & sustagen plus also throw in a egg, it's nice & thick. My dietician told me to up my calories so the ice cream is good, have also been having puréed chicken veggie Soup, jelly, yoghurt & custard. Also made watermelon & pinball pile juice which is delicious. Have to say I feel fine but get tired easily too. Hang in there.
  6. Seth , Dr Armstrong was fantastic all went well its been 9 days & apart from being tired all is very good, down 5k in the 9 days although was told today I am not eating enough so will try to squeeze a bit more in to up my calories. The first couple of days were a bit rough but I just kept focussing on the future & now I feel so happy. you are in excellent hands so know you will fine too, all the best.
  7. Well had my op last Tues 5/2 in Perth. Discharged Sat. for the first few days I thought OMG what the hell have I done but I just kept focussing on all the wonderful success stories here. I am feeling pretty good down 4 kilos to 105 k but can't help jumping on the scales every time I pass the bathroom, ha think I had better put them away. Assume this is normal but I am exhausted but the drinking is good at first I was sipping but just seem to drink normally & even though I am on the liquid & mush I can eat if fairly quickly, 5 mins for half a cup of Soup or a yoghurt. is this normal Today I made a jelly & once cooled mixed in a yogurt into then set it, very nice.

Yes BizzyLizzy time seems to go slow I had to wait about 7 weeks but it went quickly. today I ordered the book you recommend knife fork band so can't wait to get it. We are almost the same age so it will be interesting to see how we both go but so far so good, go back to see my surgeon & dietetcian tomorrow. All the best for 5 March.
