  1. I asked this in another forum' date=' but really mostly curious about my September co sleevers here. I def need to lower my calories. I am averaging around 1600 per day and in a 2 month stall. My nut isn't concerned, as i am only 8 lbs from my goal weight and she would rather i go slower. I started at 265. 260 at surgery and 208 today with goal of 200.. I did have three 2,000 calorie days in the past month. I am a man, lol. To point out, I read about most folk on here under 1,000 calories. Anyone else on here similar to me? I am torn, as I don't want to get stretchy skin.. I also burn 400 calories a day working out and don't want my body to get used to really low calories nor lower my metabolism I am only torn, as I wished I was at my 200 lg goal already (my personal goal was 185++, but that aint happening).. So, I'm curious. Do tell!?[/quote']

Hi there! I got sleeved on September 1st. I started 265 my personal goal is 160. Currently 188. I have been at a stall for 2 months. Now I really can't eat a lot still. I know you are a guy but I would think 2000calories is a lot when I did weight loss programs with a friend he was not sleeved his daily intake was 2000 calorie allowed. And I have been told I have to be taking less than 750 a day. I know your daily should b different but I would change that a lil and give it a try. As far as the skin part I just started working out 2months ago almost I have had good luck except my stomach but not badly. Good luck.

  3. I'm Pre Op right now, my surgery is March 1st. All of this talk about Hair loss has me so nervous! I have really long black hair, it's been like my security blanket all of these years. I'm thinking of starting Biotin now, but I'm unsure how much to take. For those of you that take it, what is the dosage? And where do you buy it? Thanks in advance!

You can get it in any nutritional store. But you should ask your doctor first. You want to b safe b4 surgery. Good luck too you, your day is almost here!

  4. I am 5 months post op. I have lost so much hair n it really sux. This has been in the last two months I have to keep cleaning after combining my hair all time or else is everywhere. I do my hair every 6weeks too, but I also started wearing extensions. I need my roots done soon but I am at the border line of just getting a bob hair cut n going all dark cause everytime I do my roots I feel my hair weaker. My hair dresser also says that my hair is part of my body change and since I use no bleach it shouldn't matter. Here are some pics of my hair 2months now is have of that (extensions are on) I have lost more on my sides I know its not a big price to pay when I am so much healthier and happy but these forums let me have hope that it will grow back :)

She then posted it to her official Facebook page for her followers! She also told me that she's coming to Austin in February so I'm going to get to meet her!! Pretty exciting. Thanks everyone for your feedback and encouragement to me!!

  6. Hey guys' date='

Just wanted to share some pics, cuz we all love it when others share pics! :). This is my first time sharing photos, aside from my avatar. I'm 9 months out of surgery as of yesterday, and initially, I was having my hubby take pictures every month. I kinda fell off over the summer, but finally remembered to have him snap a few this morning. I cried a little when I put the 'before' and 'after' side by side. I was self pay, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Rejoicing over here!! Woot!

p.s. not sure if I'm doing this right, so hopefully there are pictures here!

Super Fabulous! Looking Gorgeous! Keep up the fantastic work ;)

  7. You look great! How did you tone up your arms and stomach so well? Any pointers to share?

Thank u... I will b honest I just started working out 3 wks ago. One thing I did do is lots of extra moisturizer lotion. I read that ur body looses moisture n u must keep it moisturize. I did work my hands a lil with an 8lbs ball but not much my stomach I still have loose skin (I had 3 c-sections) but not as bad as b4 I was 265.
