  1. Well I am still here in hospital. White blood cells have now leveled off but now hemoglobin and hematocrit is down and I may have to have a blood transfusion. I feel great though, minimal pain or gas, walking ok. Taking my liquids ok. My doctor is confused why all of this is going on. Please send positive thoughts.
  2. I've been doing well with meds, gasses etc. but this morning I went for my leak test. No leaks, which is good, but we can't get anything past the duodenum. So I am on ice chips only. Would really like a fruit juice or something!
  3. I'm doing well , yesterday was a breeze and today I have pretty good pain and a heartburn sensation. How is everyone else ?
  4. No, no cleansers of any kind. Although my stomach was a wreck last night because of nerves, I think I cleansed ok I'm headed to the hospital soon, I have to be there by 0530 and I live about an hour away. Surgery is at 0730. Good luck to all!
  5. So sorry! Try to get some rest! Insomnia is the worst. I just woke up...it's time to head to the hospital for me. Surprisingly calm...
  6. Well I'm off to try to get some sleep. Just took my emend. Have to get up at 0330 to be at the hospital by 0530. I hope I don't finally fall asleep at 3 or some ungodly hour. My stomach is a wreck (I think it knows!). Good luck to all my fellow sleevers tomorrow, I look forward to catching up with you all on the other side!!!!!
  7. Oh and I just took my pre op measurements. Omg! I'm so ready to do this!
  8. Just put my food phases on my calendar! It's getting real now, but I know I can do it! Getting more excited! I probably should have taken tomorrow off, just because.
  9. Just a week, but then I will work from home for two weeks.
  10. I think you need someone to drive you home! In my hospital, they won't even release you to a cab! Good luck!
  11. Same to you! I think I am in denial...just a couple more days. I feel like I need to pack and prepare everything, but I guess there's not much left to do. I'm just trying to wrap my head around the changes that are coming. Good luck to everyone.
  12. It's your initial starting weight that counts (at least in my experience.) I started out prior to the supervised diet at 37 and am now at 33.5 just a couple of days before surgery. I think I was somewhere around 35 when approved, but they had the info from the initial visit to make their determination on.
  13. When I went to my pre-op testing and instructions, they told me to take all my normal meds with a sip of Water, so I am much relieved about that! Tuesday here we come! Sent from my iPad using VST
  14. I'm a bit depressed. Haven't been on the scale for a week and I jumped on this morning to check how my pre-op diet was doing for me and I was 2 pounds up! Discouraging . I have been so good, high Protein, low carb, plus my shakes, under 1000 cals a day, just as prescribed. Makes me wonder if I will be able to lose with surgery?! On the other hand, it's hard to believe its almost here! Mine is early Tuesday morning. I keep thinking the hospital will call and say they have to delay, I need more clearances, etc.... I'm just being paranoid, I guess. Trying to keep up a positive face . Good luck to everyone this week! Sent from my iPad using VST
  15. Good luck to you ! Let us know how it goes!
  16. I had irritable bowel. The probiotics fixed that and that's how I gained weight. It may not be a problem for most people, but it was for me. I will say they were a lifesaver with the irritable bowel. No more diarrhea with the probiotics! It was/is wonderful.
  17. Be very careful with probiotics. That's how I gained my last 30ish pounds, but boy did it fix my guts right up.
  18. Yep. Will be repaired with surgery.
  19. I'm so thankful for this thread. I take lisinopril every morning and if I forget, by noon I have a pounding headache. My surgery is scheduled for the 25th, first thing in the morning, and I've even thought about getting up at midnight just to take my pill! I know i have to trust in the medical system to take care of me, but it sounds like I may not need anything?! Thanks for sharing!
  20. June 25th. Tucson Az. Not New Jersey, but happy to be your buddy. There are quite a few of us on here for the 25th! It's just around the corner. How is your pre-op going?
