  1. I'm doing ok....it's been a huge adjustment but in time it will be good. I'm on soft foods now and sometimes it's difficult but I need my nutrition. Another thing I find difficult is getting all my fluids. Trying to balance the drinking and eating has been trying but I will get it one of these days. Came back to work this week so very glad it's the weekend! Thanks for asking! How are you?

How have you done weight wise???

  2. I figured I'd be a fast loser' date=' as I've always tended to lose (and gain it back) quickly. However, the last 3 mornings I've woken up the EXACT same weight, right down to the tenth of a pound. I spent a couple hours last night reading posts on here about stalls. Most people seem to get them around the third week, I haven't seen anyone say they stalled in the first week, and it is disheartening.[/quote']

I lost 17 pounds on my 2 week preop diet. Since surgery which was 3/6 I've only lost 5 and that fluctuates as well up 1 one day back down 1 the next day. I sure didn't think I would have this problem at a week out either... I'm following guidelines... It sucks!!! So bummed

  3. Did anyone else experience a slow heart rate after the surgery??? I'm normally pretty even but after the surgery my heart rate was only 47-52. The dr wasn't too worried but I am now, I'm at the gym and just tested my heart rate is only 70 and that's after a 30 minute treadmill workout. My heart rate should not be this low. I'm one week post op....

  4. I actually had lasgna last night and after a few bites' date=' I was full. I could definitely feel it. Had some spaghetti today and once again, knew when I was full. Tonight I had some blackened catfish. It only takes a few bites, but then I get the sensation that I'm full and I stop. Feeling great![/quote']

Wow!! U guys aren't on all liquids still ???? Damn I was 3/6 and I'm still on liquids

  5. I was sleeved March 6th and since that day I have lost 20 lbs. crazy! I am focusing more on my Fluid intake than Protein. Yesterday's attempt at a shake made my sleeve twist and turn. Today is my surgeons appointment for a check up. We'll see what he says. I'm still having pain directly behind my belly button - searing' date=' burning, almost tearing pain. Totally confused as to what it is. I am so ready to feel better!!!!!!!!! <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

Wow!! Congrats! I had my surg same day and have only lost 5 .... Totally bummed :(

  6. Remember' date=' what goes in, must come out. Your whole digestive system has just dramatically changed. Did you really have the expectation that wasn't going to be altered for awhile?

6 days out ... start taking Milk of Magnesia. Every day. Don't stop once things start moving. Continue for a week.

    The fun aint over yet ... <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />[/quote']

Pd!! That stuff is disgusting !! Is there alternatives???

  7. My idea of "bullying" is not what OP did. She presented her viewpoint. She pointed out the problems with lying. Bullying is forcing. She is not forcing.

I would call the flack she is getting from folks bullying.

Invariably' date=' people who accuse others of "judging" are condeming themselves even as they do it. Folks that preach tolerance often have none to give to those who disagree with them.

Why don't you all just leave her alone?

Pile on me, I don't sweat you.

    It's just a freakin' forum.[/quote']

Lol this is going no where. Everyone has a right to an opinion, on here just be prepared to either be loved or fought with lol!

  8. ... Today I am officially one week out and have lost 19 lbs. I know things will slow way down no matter what but I am trying to get my Protein in anyway. It's just so hard! It's so difficult just to get through one shake and for some reason today it just seriously made my stomach angry! How in the world do the rest of you pull it off?

Did you have a pre op diet?

  9. I didn't have that. I wasn't allowed anything first day after surgery. That sucked. The day after I was given 1 oz of ice chips hourly. That was heaven on my very sore throat!

I wasn't allowed anything the day of. Next day after leak test they rolled out the old broth n ice chips lol. They didn't let me walk the first day, I just slept my Buns off. I kept asking but nope!! It was kinda weird. I asked to use my gas x and they said no so that was a waste. Prob because I was throwing up blood (old n lots of it) but who knows.

  10. Doesn't chocolate count for the liquid diet' date=' as long as you let it melt before you swallow it?

I feel ripped off. The only thing I have ate that wasn't on plan was a yogurt covered pretzel (little bitty) and a waffle fry. I then went into a 3 week stall. So screw all of you that are cheating and losing weight! <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />[/quote']

It's wayyyy to early to be getting screwed ... Counting down them damn days !! Hahahahah

  11. Can you describe the leak test? Do they go down your throat?... I'm sorry if I'm being invasive.

The leak test is where you go to the X-ray department drink a small amount if disgusting stuff swallow a few times and they take pictures during. Ask for a puke bag before they start. I had to use it. But it's nothing to stress over!! As far as pain, I never used the morphine pump and I also could sleep in any position. I just got sleeved 3-6.
