Hi there! I am waiting to hear from Aetna on my sleeve to bypass revision. I called today and they said it's in review as of the 26th. Said it could take 7-10 days. Just curious...were you approved? How long did it take to hear back for a final decision?Got an email from Aetna that they got the additional documentation today and its in review (7-10 days). I wont count on hearing anything until after Thanksgiving. Hopefully the have what the need and will consider my request for a revision.
Thanks!

I think that would be a great idea!! I've been trying to find the actual plan on the internet...is there a guideline to go by?

@@Emilee68 it helps cut cravings for carbs. I don't believe in "cleansing" toxins from your body by eating special foods, I think our liver and kidneys are designed to take care of that function, so I'm probably not the right person to answer that particular question
Thank you! Thats exactly what I'm needing!!

Im 15 months out and I've been stuck at 162 since Christmas. Im getting very discouraged and depressed like I was before I was sleeved. Im willing to try anything

I'm also considering a cleanse. A carb cleanse. I've let too many carbs slip in over the last few weeks. And am craving them horribly bad. But I do not know where to start. I think I read where some people are going back and doing the post op food phases starting at clear liquids. I'm not sure if this is what I want to do though.
Me too! And its making me feel like I did before I had my surgery...very bloated and full all over...I just dont know what is the best way to get back on track....

I'm a little over a year post op from the sleeve and I've been at a stall for about 4-5 months. I've fell off the wagon here recently, I've had a lot of stress with work and school....I know its not an excuse....LOL. Anyways I feel very bogged down and bloated and well...not good. Has anyone tried a cleanse to kinda detox? If so what are some good ones to do? Any info is greatly appreciated!

What is 5 day sleeve test? The 5 day sleeve test is where you test your restriction by doing 2 days of full liquids, 1 day soft Protein, 1 day firm Protein and 1 day solid protein.
I'm starting it tomorrow so hopefully it'll help get me back on track! I'll let everyone know!

I will be 6 months post op on 8/26 and I've only lost 47 lbs. The past 2 months I've fallen off the wagon so to speak and I've been eating sweets and drinking a few carbonated drinks every week. How can I get back on track? Should I do the 5 day sleeve test or does that really work in getting back on track. I'm finding that I'm grazing more when I'm bored ugggghhhhh

:"""( I'm loosing mine too. I have fine hair but alot of it. It at least I did before the Hair loss started. It's been going on about 2 weeks now. I wanna cry every day. My hair is about to the middle of my back and it grows really slow so I really don't wanna have to cut it...but I've heard that's the best thing to do....should I??
-
I wondered that myself. I had my surgery 3 months ago last Monday and I started at 224 and I'm down to 183. I've been at 183 for over a month and its getting quite frustrating. My surgeon never told me how many calories and carbs max daily I should have. What's the normal? Does anyone know? If I don't start loosing again I'm gonna go NUTS!

I'm Emilee68 on there too!

I know I know. It's been awhile since I've been on here. I've lost 35 lbs since surgery and I feel pretty great. But yesterday and today I'm having left sides pain like under my rib cage an around to my back and around my left incision where my stomach came out of...is this normal? I don't wanna be a baby and call my surgeon. Lol.
-
How did you know when to stop eating? Was it a normal fullness? No to me it feels different. It kinda feels like there's a lump in your chest...it's hard to describe. Before the sleeve when I would feel full. My stomach would feel all bloated out and I would a general feeling of being stuffed. But now it doesn't bloat out or anything like that. I just had the lump or fullness in my chest...it's not uncomfortable or painful or anything like that. I can just tell and I'm like ok that's it. It doesn't take much though. I can only get through about 2 oz of albacore tuna and it takes me about 30 min to eat that. It's a good feeling though. I know I can't gorge myself! Lol
-
I didn't have a purée stage. My dr had me do full liquids first 3 weeks post op then soft solids for 3 weeks then solids. I can't eat alot now. It's extremely small portions.

The day has come to an end and I survived my first day of soft foods!! Here's what I had...breakfast 4 tablespoons of scrambled egg whites, lunch pkg of Carl budding turkey breast and sugar free strawberry Jello, snack was chocolate Premier Protein, dinner 1/2 tilapia fillet with 2 tablespoons of French style green Beans. It took me roughly 30 min on each meal but i knew exactly when to quit on each meal and I chewed chewed chewed! I'm so proud of myself!! Best Monday ever! Just had to share!
P.S. I hit my first goal weight today too! 30 lbs down!!
-
No :( the liquids are disgusting to me now and im literally in tears
-
So I start soft foods Monday... I'm do sick of liquids that everytime I go to drink something I literally want to spit it out. It's 3 days until soft foods.... Would it be so bad to go ahead and do a little laughing cow cheese or pudding or Jello once a day until Monday? I'm about to be 3 weeks postop and im dying over here!

Congrats!!! I'm 12 days postop and I've lost 21 lbs!! It's so weird to see 199 on the scale. I haven't been below 200 in about 6 years!! Wonderful feeling!
