Yes I believe it made me significantly worst, I don't want to be on any meds that I don't have to. I feel much better when I don't take them. I went from vomiting or feeling like I was going to all day to now maybe once a day. My doctor says it's normal so I shouldn't be too alarmed.

I am day 5 post op and even last night i woke up to get throw up. It starts with dry heaves then spit and Water then a nasty yellow throw up. It's almost like a churning feeling. The first two days home from the hospital were the worst. I thought I was gonna have to go back in. It gets better though. Keep sipping water and a little Gatorade (watered down) to prevent dehydration. I actually felt better after I stopped taking the pain medication (I had liquid loritab) then after a day of being off that I stopped the nausea medicine. Another thing my doctor gave me was something to prevent esophagus spasms (dry heaving) you could look into it. The dry heaving was uncomfortable and when I took that medicine it helped. But after three days I'm no longer taking any of it and I feel much better. My stomach does get gassy which I use gas x strips for and they work wonders. I keep drinking water and tried it room temperature cause the colder it is the more it irritates. Good luck though, like i said I'm on day 5 and feel much better...much much better. Another thing is sugar free fudgsicles are my best friend, even though I can only do half at a time, they give me the feeling I'm eating something and they are refreshing to my raw throat from dry heaving and puking.

I had surgery on 1/16 and on my one week apt with my Dr he suggested that I take Benadryl before bed. As of right now I take one before bed and I am sleeping a solid 7-8 hours. I was so thankful. sleeping was not happening. As of now' date=' I am having a harder time with hunger cravings. I am following the liquid diet to a T but it is so difficult. About 17lbs down since surgery but this morning was the first morning I woke up without a weight loss..I was bummed and I feel so bloated. Hoping Mon morning brings better news. Still very sore.[/quote']Don't go crazy with the scale and don't let it discourage you!!! 17lbs is awesome. Good luck????

I had surgery 1/21 and don't sleep well at night either. Not from pain' date=' nor nausea- I am finding I am just not sleeping. If I do sleep it's now in 1-2 hour increments, and up to use the bathroom with a loose gassy almost BM- but not a BM. Anyone experiencing that?[/quote']Yes I am...loose and watery...mostly gasy. I also sleep in 1-2 hour increments. If that.

Today is the first day the nausea is tolerable. I am having two major difficulties and need some suggestions on what do to do.
1. How do I relieve the gasy/nausesous feeling? How long does it typically last?
2. Does anyone have problems sleeping? It's killing me.
Please any help you can give would make me so appreciative!
