  1. Exactly, a place where you can scroll through everyone's before and after photos. ????
  2. I hate that there isn't a way to look at before and after pics on this site. There should be a section dedicated to before and afters. After all, each of you deserve to be recognized for your hard work. (Hoping I have my surgery in June)
  3. I would like to join the private fb page. My email address is jennifer.folk@ymail.com.
  4. Hi Lisa, how are you feeling? Hope all is well!
  5. Hi Grrwuff, I am hoping for summer surgery too. Who do you have insurance thru? I have Coventry. I submit the 1st week of May and am praying that they don't give me a hard time. What kinds if things is your insurance company requesting now?
  6. Hi fellow Marylanders, How is everyone doing?
  7. No, my surgeon requires a 1 day liquid diet. I think I am going to do 2 instead of 1 though. It's weird that each surgeon requires something different.
  8. @rebecca thank you so much!! I read your post and instantly got up to fill my water bottle up! I am definitely going to try this out. Hopefully I see a difference by the end of next week.
  9. Wow, that's awesome! I hope I am that active after surgery. When it comes to pain I am a big wimp! I am hoping to have everything submitted to insurance the 1st week of May. Keep up the great work Butterfly.
  10. @butterfly how are you feeling? My sister had surgery on 3/29. She is down 20 pounds and seems to be doing well.
  11. Hmmm, that's interesting. My doctor told me to lose the weight, but didn't tell me what diet to follow.
  12. @pixiedust hopefully we can figure something out. Protein shakes make me hungrier about an hour after drinking one. Maybe it's the brand that I am drinking. I've been on Weight Watchers for the past 5 months and I am gaining instead of losing.
  13. Did you replace each meal or just one meal a day?
  14. My doctor wants me to lose 5-10 pounds before surgery. (Which will hopefully be the 2nd week of June.) Any suggestions on a diet that I should do? I see that others have had success in losing some weight prior to surgery and here I am struggling. Just curious as to what diet worked to help shed some pounds quickly before surgery. Thanks!
  15. Thanks everyone. She is doing much better. ????
  16. He said he wouldn't charge for the next visit. He was one of the Doctors recommended to me by the surgeons office.
  17. I had my psych eval today and the Dr. said he would not approve me until I prove to him that I can lose weight. He wants me to send him weight loss logs and food logs every week for the next month. He said he would approve me then?!? He said everything else was great except as far as my mental wellness goes... Anyone ever hear of this? He is a Psychiatrist, not a Nutritionalist. To make matters worse he is going to send my Dr. a report letting her know that he is going to see me for another month. So I don't even think I can go to another Dr. without it looking odd.
  18. Hi Lee316, Just wondering how you are doing since your surgery. Hope all is well!
  19. NewLife, keep us posted on how your doing. My sister was sleeved on Friday. She said the first 2 days are the worse. She is doing much better. Good luck to you!
  20. How are you feeling? My sister is doing alright, she has had her moments, but overall she is trying to push thru the pain.
  21. Thanks everyone! She has been walking, the nurses told her she definitely won the walking race at the hospital. I told her everyone's recommendations. I am just a worry wart older sister. I hope to have my surgery the 2nd week of June.
  22. My sister was sleeved 2 days ago. Overall she is doing well. However, she has a slight temp of 99.8. Should I be concerned that she may have a leak? Is 99.8 even considered a fever?
  23. How are you feeling? Any issues with reflux. I am still a few months out before surgery, but wondering how I will feel after surgery, as time goes on...
  24. That is so exciting!!!! How are you feeling? My sisters surgery is on Friday. I hope to have mine in June.
  25. Hello, I had my endoscopy today - another step down! I am slightly concerned however. The Dr. found some inflammation and did a biopsy. He thinks it could be from excedrin and ibiprofin use. I am concerned that this my hinder my ability of having the sleeve done. Anyone have any experience with inflammation and if so, did it cause any issues with having hour surgery scheduled? Thanks!
