May sleevers! How much have you lost so far?
- May sleevers! How much have you lost so far?
Surgery on May 21st. Down 51 pounds, 11 lost on add-on diet. From a size 18 wearing a loose size 12 now, med tops. Off all meds.- 2.5 months with pic
Surgery has been such wonderful blessing for me. I'm down 40 pounds since surgery 05/21/2013 and 51 since pre op. Cried at being in a size 12 and the 180's for the first time in my adult life and now the 12's are loose. Loving the sleeved life.- African American Sleevers
It has been a blessing that I have been off diabetic meds since my two week pre op and blood pressure meds all four since day of surgery! Cholesterol meds too and sleep apnea machine.- Mind trippin' and weight loss
We all know this journey is just as much about the head journey as the scale journey. Today the head journey is winning! Thinking that my weight loss has stopped or being severly altered at just 9 weeks post op. I have lost 45 pounds since surgery pre op on 05052013. This month so far just 8 pounds.. I had a low bmi but wondering is this it? It can't be I know. I try not to be a slave to the scale but I weigh myself at least 3 or more times a week. Trying to be patient but just wondering what is the earliest someone has stopped losing? How could the weight loss slow down so quick! Sure this is my first sign of slowing but the head is messing with me. So glad to be in ONDERLAND for the first time in over 20 years and I only have 15 pounds for my goal and 25 for the doctors goal. So maybe it will continue to trickle on down. If I cold just throw that damn scale away and get out of my head urrrgggg. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated today. When did you notice your weight loss was starting to really slow down?- May sleevers! How much have you lost so far?
This has been an incredible journey. Some ups and downs. I had surgery May 21st HW-248 Pre-Op Diet-243 SW-229 Current weight 195 and a loss of over 35 total inches. Still is an issue with getting in all my liquids and Protein totals but each day is a new beginning. Off all my meds for blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol and off sleep apnea machine since 2 weeks post op. That was the goal for me. Gone from a size 18 down to a 12! Can't really imagine shopping in something other than plus size.- African American Sleevers
I had type 2 before surgery 7 weeks ago had low bmi and I have been off all oral meds since 2 days after surgery, the sleeve.- Houston Park plaza hospital
Had my surgery 7 weeks ago there with Dr. Yu. I had the sleeve and hernia repair. The rooms and staff were great. I had no pain no naseau he kept it well controlled. I stayed one night. I only had one incision in the belly button.- What a Feeling One Month Photos

It has been one heck of a month. I started Pre-op at 240 and now down to 205 and lost over 34 total inches. I am off 9 meds for b/p, diabetes, high cholesterol and no c-pap machine. I am feeling so alive. I have not had any nausea, vomitting or real pain. I have not weighed the same for more than 3 days but i don't worry about that because I am losing and this is a journey fast or slow. Keep at it we all ganied different and will lose different. Trying tto get better at vitamins and eating more protein.- What a Journey!
I am 3 weeks out today. I'm 19 pounds since surgery. 30 since I started my two week pre op diet. I have lost a total of 26 total inches. I'm 5"8 and starting weight was 240, had a bmi of 36. I was on 12 different meds. Since surgery I take 1 thyroid pill a day, 1 vitamin d pill a week. No more high no, no more diabetes, no more high cholesterol, no more sleep apnea! Thank You Jesus! I had no real pain, no nausea or vomiting. It is still a head journey but we are all winners. Who ever says this is the easy way is a damn idiot. Keep at it!- Five Months out Today
Great job.- May 20th
Was sleeved on the 21St and home today. It had gone much better than I expected. Pain control was too much, had to ask for something less strong so I could function. Been walking around, sipping and getting up often. My surgeon just did 1 incision and that helps too. Good luck to all.- Where the May sleevers i just got my date!

The unjury chocolate splendor was divine with skim milk, and I'm not a big chocolate person.- Where the May sleevers i just got my date!
The sweetness is killing me yuk. I did cheat and eat 25 or so peanuts. Will keep striving. Surgeons office called to reschedule surgery. Thankfully pushed back only 1 day.- TOO MUCH PROTEIN?
I'm using isopure 100 percent whey isolate Protein powder 50 gram protein per serving. I'm starting 14 days of all liquid pre op diet. Need 4 meal replacement drinks daily. Got from the doctor, but is only for pre op phase.- TOO MUCH PROTEIN?
I know my suregeon knows what he is doing...BUT. I start my pre op diet and i am to have 4-5 Meal Replacements a day plus broth, Jello sf pudding, sf popsicles. But my Meal Replacement Isopure is 50g of Protein per serving and if I do 4-5 a day that is between 200-225 grams of protein a day! Is there such a thing as too much protein? Has anyone taking in this much on the pre op diet. Is he having me load up on protein for surgery because I wont be able to take any right after? And this is his plan for all his patients. I mean you don't have to do the ISOPURE brand but still seems like a lot of protein.- The pre-op diet is NOT a punishment ... it's an opportunity.
