  1. Gastric dumping syndrome, is a condition where ingested foods bypass the stomach too rapidly and enter the small intestine largely undigested. It happens when the small intestine expands too quickly due to contents from the stomach.

Symptoms of early dumping include nausea, vomiting, bloating, cramping, diarrhea, dizziness, and fatigue. "Late" dumping happens one to three hours after eating. Symptoms of late dumping include weakness, sweating, and dizziness.

The syndrome is most often associated with gastric bypass (Roux-en-Y) surgery.

  2. You will do great. Follow the instructions and stick to your program. It is possible. You have a great support system and that will help. Exercise as often as you can.

Yes, it is a lifestyle change but it is doable and you may even find that you prefer it. I know I did. I can't imaging eating the way I did previously and a blood pressure of 95/57 keeps me sticking with it. As does smaller clothes in fun new styles.

I no longer desire the processed junk I used to eat and I feel very good and strong after working out, so that keeps me on task.

    Good luck to you. :)

  3. Think of how hot and beautiful you will be come spring and summer 2014. I know it's not easy (esp. If you live in a snowy place) but if you have already developed some sort of fitness habit, you don't want to start all over in preparation of next season. Keep yourself ready through the Holiday's and when everyone else is scrambling to join a gym in January so they can get in shape, you will already be in shape. I find feeling strong and looking good is one hell of a motivator! :)
