My BMI slipped under 30 today. So yes, I'm no longer 'obese' but 'overweight'.
Happy days.

Be careful getting on the weighing every day merry go round - speaking from personal experience! It can get quite de-motivating when the scale stops moving for days - or weeks.
Have a good day everyone!

Seth , Dr Armstrong was fantastic all went well its been 9 days & apart from being tired all is very good, down 5k in the 9 days although was told today I am not eating enough so will try to squeeze a bit more in to up my calories.
The first couple of days were a bit rough but I just kept focussing on the future & now I feel so happy.
you are in excellent hands so know you will fine too, all the best.

It's so funny Seth, I can't speak for anyone else, but after my op, my whole attitude changed. It's like I can't be negative anymore regarding my body and weight loss, in the past it was so easy to feel bad about body issues when things weren't as I had wished. It's like looking at the world through new eyes, it is truly amazing, my niece had VSG before me and her change of attitude and positivity was same as me. I feel wonderful. I hope all goes fantastically for you, remember to be patient and listen to not only your body, but your head too, good thoughts in!!
Just after my op I had doubts as I guess we all do and they continued for up to two months, but slowly those doubts got replaced, it happens, I'm in a great place and hope to stay here! LOL

Hey,
You'll have to excuse their labels / marketing with cartoon bodybuilding freaks, but I really like Max's products. They're the only ones I've found that I don't mind with Water.

Hi everyone, I have my surgery booked in for Feb 19th. I am tired if the yo yo life plus I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis which has made it very difficult to exercise. I am six foot with a weight of 133 kg. I have an amazing family and reading all of your threads and comments has helped to reassure me that I am making the right choice getting a sleeve. I must admit the nerves are there as are the worries about mourning my food, but then I look at my three year old boy and that refocuses me! I am seeing the clinical psych next Tuesday and then Mr Armstrong on the 14th for a final consult before surgery. I am looking forward to being able to walk into a shop and not ask where the plus sizes are! My ideal and ultimate goal weight is 90 kg! Again your comments and support are very helpful so keep it up

Hi everyone I am having my surgery in Perth on Tues 5th Feb. Was feeling very anxious wondering if it was the right thing to do. I have only told a few people & the general comment is I am taking the easy way out. After reading all the great posts & wonderful comments here I am now really relaxed & know its the right decision for me. Can't wait for this time next week.

Hi seth
I am laying in my hospital bed about 12 hrs post op and your post caught my eye as my husband suffers very badly with ankylosing so I see first hand what a cruel disease it can be. I think you have made a great decision , my nerves wavered yesterday as I got to the hospital but even now 12hts out I am happy that I've made this choice and I'm on my way to a healthier life. All the best for your journey

Hi Seth,
You have made a good decision. I was sleeved on November 14 and it was the best decision I have made. Keep thinking about all the positives and don't worry about mourning food. I have come to see food as fuel that my body needs so I can walk 10 kms a day and go shopping for slim people clothes.
Stay positive and stay away from all the horror stories on this site. This surgery gives you a whole new life! And it's a great life!!!!
