Is it like a burning pain inbetween left incision and belly button? Like on the skin ? Maybe a little under but not actual stomach?

I am on day 9 of a 20 day preop diet consisting of Protein shakes' date=' cottage cheese, yogurt, broth, and SF Jello and popsicles. I've lost 13 lbs which is great. I'm trying really hard not to complain because it could be worse and I could be on full liquids or only Protein drinks, but...I'm on burnout. I'd kill for just a salad, a cucumber, something with substance and crunch! In November, I kicked a 15 year habit of smoking cold turkey. During that time I munched on baby pickles when I got a craving for one. When I traveled I ate sunflower seeds. I thought i was over it, but now that I can have very little I want a cigeratte, a big Dr Pepper, and the right side of the menu from the burger place down the street! (ok, i really want the whole menu) I don't know why today is so hard, but I've just stayed in bed and slept since yesterday afternoon. I'm fighting caffine, nicotine, and every food craving imaginable. Any suggestions? How did you make it through?[/quote']

Lucky. I'm on one week full liquids day five. I'm dieing =( protien shakes make me vomit or diareah super bad man =( maybe bite a cucumber then spit it out? Lol. Idk. I chew my nails worse now then before. I've tried hard sugar free candies cause the melt to nothing try that?

I have a nose piercing and my doc said I had to take it out or I was not getting surgery... I am going to try to get a plastic one the week before. Its only been a couple months and I really don't want it to close up. Plus' date=' I want to go in and have my piercer do it for me, I am such a pansy when it comes to pain. lol...[/quote']

Dude I had to take out my snake bites they closed I was so mad. But my tounge stayed open =)

I wouldn't worry. Its only 200 more. I am five days out today I have two cans of light lemonade and one popscile tried protien shake puked it up. So idk.

I waas told not to eat salad cause tummy can't digest it for six months after surgery

Omg in 12 days is my surgery. I cannot describe the thoughts going through my head currently.

My surgery is 2-12-2013.

My boyfriend, live in isn't being the best support pillar I'd appreciate. He is also thin and can eat and eat and not gain a pound. A$$! Lol. But I completely understand you being upset. I dunno what to do with it.... Sigh!

I also know what it's like for everyone to try n talk u out of it. My grown kids say ill have saggy skin my guy friend says he wont talk to me which leaves me w one friend. I have prayed about this and though I wouldn't want it to go wrong n my family have to endure it I really am the one who has to deal with me if I don't. Congrats beth. Hope to b right behind u.

I was approved through my dads bcbs plan as soon as I did the therPy session they require!

It sucks that people are so critical of this surgery. I have also told select few people, hoping that eventually ill be able to just tell everyone I know. But a part of me just isn't ready yeyt. The detox diet sounds like a winner! Or help serve/ keep self busy so that it won't look weird when you don't ait down for the meal with your family.

So I've been waiting for a surgery date for what seems like YEARS, and I finally received one a week ago February 12+h. Now, I'm in such anticipation that its all I can think off. My mom had her sleeve done Nov.14th she is down 65 lbs so so PROUD of her. I hope that the 12+h hurries up and arrives!
