  1. Welcome! And congats on your surgery and weight loss. This is an excellent sight. You will find lots of topics, or post your own if you have questions about anything. There are people on here that consist of newbies all the way to people who were sleeved for years. Everyone is so nice and very helpful. Try the recipe forum for great recipes and more. Sorry about your bad start, but it will get better. Just stay positive and focused:)
  2. I agree with everyone else. This is awful advice. My surgeon would laugh at this. I am always looking for something new to cook and try. This is how I feel like I am eating like a normal person. And there are lots of good recipes on the recipe forum.
  3. My first experience last week was terrible. I thought they would have at least a Tuna melt on the menu, so I would take it off the bread, well they had nothing like that just big French dip sandwiches and burgers not even a grilled chicken sandwich. Everything was battered or deep fried. I ended up with a cup of homemade clam chowder, which I'm sure was a little heavy on the fat. But 4 bites and 4 saltines later I was stuffed:) Husband ate the rest.
  4. Wow is all I can say! These Drs are crazy. Curious-is this an out of pocket pd surgery? I had no liquid diet at all except after surgery, and that was easy cause you have no appetite. I did have to lose 20# before surgery, and I did it 2 1/2 months, then my Dr scheduled my surgery. I even ate a regular meal the night before surgery. I just dont get why these Drs are torturing you with liquid diets before surgery:(
  5. Thanks I will do the egg and honey mask. And yes I have the clairasonic. But I don't always use it. Guess I will be now:)
  6. My Nut says no to peas ever? But your eating them? Why would she say that? I do like peas:)
  7. I carried a lot of my weight in my gut, I had a big hanging belly. It has gotten much smaller and I van deal with it cause I look pretty darn good on my new size 12 jeans. But I can't handle whats happening with my face! Under my chin is looking like crinkle paper And I have more wrinkles under my eyes. I can't afford plastic surgery probably never, so anyone have any suggestions for a neck and eye cream that will tighten me up?
  8. Depends on your size and age:) you can still have cellulite even if your skin and bones. It's in your genes.
  9. I had bo for the first time in my life right after surgery, but I think cause I was in the hospital for 3 days and no shower and forgot to bring deo took about a week to get under control. Maybe just the physical changes cause the oders
  10. I had kidney stones 1 week out after surgery. My urologist said I definitely had the stones in my kidneys, but the stress from surgery could have helped release one. I to had the black specs, followed by me passing a 6 mm stone! It could be some very tiny stones that are breaking up as they come down to the bladder. If they are be thankful your not in pain.
  11. Just checked to they are $33.99;( But Costco sells them 18 ct for $24. I guess we bought them all!
  12. Most of the Greek yogurts have high sugar ct. But mega protein. Hard decision.
  13. So carb smart is better than watching sugar, I am so confused. Thanks Mysunflower621 I will check that out too
  14. Can anyone help me out here? What ice cream is best for you if your gonna have it? I have been using the sugar free. But is frozen sorbet better, or frozen yogurt. I love my 1/4 in the evening. My only little treat:)
  15. Mine was the same Justsleeveit . Gosh I wish these Drs would all be on the same bandwagon. I was on full liquids on day three, which included cottage cheese, yogurt, , applesauce, strained soups. At my two week checkup he put me on stage three which was soft foods. Like tuna, salmon, mashed potatoes, plus all the other stuff on my full l. Liquid. I also eat chicken, really cooked veggies, as long as I chew food really good I am 5 1/2 weeks out and I just made Swedish meatballs with ground turkey . I ate two and 1/4 cup really cooked zucchini. Yum:)
  16. Mine started day of surgery. They will give you these net panties, and nice big thick pads that they use in the maternity ward. The nurses are very used to it and they will help you. You'll be able to go to bathroom and keep yourself clean. As for cramps you might not feel much cause of the pain meds Good luck:) you'll be fine its really no big deal to them..
  17. My delivery date is march 18th too. Can't beat the price. I also ordered premier protein bars. Never had them, so hope they taste good.
  18. Wo Ho! Now that's a deal. Thanks for shareing Didn't even think to check out Amazon.
  19. Crackers are on some peoples list I am still on soft foods, but I never pureed them. Yeck!my Dr said as long as you chew it to a soft consistency before you swallow you should be fine. I have been eating everything I posted earlier since the beginning of week three with no problems, other than I do tend to eat to fast. Also on my list is toast, toasted really well as to get all the moisture out. But then again mot everybody can tolerate exactly what other people eat.
  20. Check out other posts, there are a lot of ideas from people on here . I eat lots of tuna, salmon, tilapia. Chicken salad, refried beans with cheese and salsa. There's the infamous ricotta bake too. Hope this helps. Try a few crackers too.
  21. My feet have shrank about a 1/2 size. ALL my shoes are to stretched out, and I had a lot of shoes. But its all good. Packed them all up and sent them on there way!. I have already cleaned out my closet three times, and I'm only 5 weeks out. God I love it:)
  22. Great post. Congrats on your milestone:) Many more to come!
  23. I found that Iike things much more spicier than before. Also diet Snapples are to darn sweet, I have to cut them with water by half! Crystal light too. Used to make that a little sweeter than normal now I find myself cutting that also. I have also taken up salt which I didn't use much before, so I know I will have to be careful there. Other foods taste pretty much the same. Just glad I can eat almost regular foods now:) Still dying for fresh veggies and a good salad. That will be worth the wait.
  24. I would have ordered all that kind of food too. But they quit serving breakfast at 12, and they had none of your other items on the menu. Was gonna go for a tuna melt and just take off the bread, but they didn't even have that. At least I did have a few bites of really good clam chowder:)
