How do you know if your full or its just gas?

I am 1 week out, and when I eat I can't tell if its the gas making me feel full or the food So I tend to eat more cautious and not finish it all. Any answers? -
I live in Petaluma, any support groups close by me? Had surgery a week ago:)

Thank you, yes I am active and I am only on full liquids for 1 more week, then soft type foods for 6 weeks or so. I just call it eating:) my stomach gurggles a lot to is this normal? Otherwise I think I am doing pretty good. -

I am a week post op! I've lost 9#. I can't wait till stage lll foods. Yogurt and Soup get old. Feeling a little light headed, but drinking my fluids and staying hydrated. Fighting the Head Hunger, its hard sometimes but I just gotta look to th future:)

I see so many of u are on a pre-op diet. Is this to lose weight right before surgery? My Dr just had me on a 1200 diet up until surgery. I lost 25# . I did not have to even do clear liquids the night before. My surgery was Jan 14, and I am doing really good. It is hard to get your stage 2 diet in.
