Stress eating
Journaling really helps. It not only helps to release what's bothering you but it keeps your hands busy so you don't use them to eat.

Gaining weight before surgery!
My dr said he would postpone the surgery if I gained even one pound because if I did it would show that I'm not on board with the necessary changes. I'm so scared! I've lost 6 pounds since then but we all know how fast that can be regained.

What happened to your sleep apnea post surgery?
I think after using my cpap for years now I won't know how to sleep without it. I may be too scared to sleep without. I'm convinced it saves my life every night. Plus I have an inset jaw and very narrow airways that contribute to the apnea, not just the obesity.

Period changes?
My PCP said when you lose weight the estrogen stored in the fat cells is released and can cause heavier periods. On the other hand, the stress of the surgery could throw you off for the first month.

Anthem Blue Cross Question
I have Anthem BCBS and live in CA. The insurance coordinator told me they take around 4 weeks to get back with an answer. Sounds like y'all got approved much faster. Is the coordinator just not doing it right or what?

Don't want to lose the boobs- Where did you notice the weight loss first?
Hoping to see it in my face first. Where did you notice it first?- Low bmi at goal
4'10 here and at 200 lbs pre-op. NUT said 113-125 for someone with a medium to large frame person my height. For a small framed person it's more like 96-104! I'm about a medium frame so I'm shooting for 120'ish.- Starbucks

For Laura - *pat* *pat* It's going to be ok sweets!- Certain Uncertainty
I'm new to this as well. I'm waiting on my surgery date. I, too am certain I NEED to do this. It's scary as hell but I need to be around for my husband and children. But not to just be alive but to FEEL alive. To be more active with them instead of in pain just walking to the park. My husband needs the peace of mind knowing I'm healthier. He's a detective and went to a dead body for an obese woman not much older than me (43) with a cpap machine like mine and similar medications as me. It scared him. I don't want him to feel that way. I have to go through the difficult times ahead to ease everyone's fears for me. I look forward to going on this journey with you.- surgery tomorrow 9 am! Jan 16.
Stay strong! This too shall pass.- Adderall?
I'm on something similar and have the same concerns. I think we will have to set reminders for us to know when to eat- surgery tomorrow 9 am! Jan 16.
Please keep us updated. I'm thinking of you and praying for you! Take care of yourself.- Band or Sleeve?
I personally chose the sleeve because of the complications of the band and also not having the best results. If you read a lot of posts here you will find several people who had their band removed and opted for the sleeve instead. Good luck- Urgent care
Hi fyre. How are you doing now? Still in pain? I hope not. Make sure your hubby is taking good care of you. You deserve it!!- Gmanbat and wife, B&A pics
Great job!! You must be proud of each other.- Urgent care
I had to have my gall bladder removed years ago after losing weight. The first ER doc missed it. Ask for an ultrasound. It sounds like the pain I had. Feel better!!- Blenderized diet
Thanks guys! I think I will take it slow on the puréed stuff. - Where did you notice the weight loss first?
