  1. I've had 2 csections and this was much easier!! The pain eased much faster than the other surgeries. My doc does the leak test in the OR as well so I never had the barium. No drain either. I got nauseous once in the hospital after drinking the pain med too fast but never vomited. Still haven't. So don't worry. Just take things slow.
  2. No program fee here. Never heard of it. I started with one hospital/dr and switched without having to repeat anything. Insurance was just fine too.
  3. I'm just about 2 weeks out and I can tell you it does get better. I can't help you with the hypoglycemia but know you are not alone. I felt the same way the first 10 days or so. I feel like my whole life and even my friends and families revolve around what I can eat or what I'm physically able to do. My friends did all of my usual driving and running the kids around, my husband picked up the housework and my kids felt like they didn't see me much because I was always in bed. Things are picking up though for me and they will for you too! Big hug!!
  4. 2 c-sections and gallbladder removal and sleeved almost 2 weeks ago. I'd take the sleeve over the sections any day. It was about the same as the gallbladder. Minus the eating issues, of course Don't worry. Just keep up on your pain meds so you feel like you can keep moving around.
  5. Great job! You look so happy! Keep up the good work!!
  6. They want your fingernails clear of color so the pulse ox can read your oxygen level and your heart rate properly. Clear polish is ok and so is anything on your toes.
  7. Bummer news... Although I'm losing its definitely in my boobs And I had just bought some cute bras! Oh well, at least I'm losing LOL.
  8. Bald is much sexier.
  9. Congrats! Each day can have its ups and downs but overall sounds like you are off to an awesome start!!
  10. I feel the same way as you. The scale tells me I've lost all this weight so far but pants still fit the same. My gut has not budged, maybe because of all the swelling and gas we still have. We should give it a couple more weeks and I bet those pants will fit great!
  11. Good luck! Enjoy the ride
  12. Congrats on making it through!! Now let the fun begin I'm on day 8 post-op and doing ok. So know it does get easier day by day.
  13. OMG! Great job!! You look Fabulous!!! Werk!!
  14. I'm 8 days out and starving!! I've got real hunger and head hunger. I agree that the tv food commercials are NOT helping!! Ugh!! Hope it ends soon. I'm taking in 400 calories and all my protein but it doesn't matter, I'm still hungry.
  15. Bananas to keep up the potassium and calms the stomach.
  16. I use espresso cups for liquids and mini ramekins from Crate and Barrel for my food. Also use cocktail size utensils to make taking small bites easier. I'm a week out and doing pretty well with this method. I keep track of the liquids I drink by setting my bottles of water aside and count it up at the end of the day.
  17. I'm 1 week post op and am having a terrible time too. It's not easy and had my breaking point last night when I ate something that didn't agree with me and I cried all night. You are not alone! I'm sure you are serious enough about this because you, like me and everyone else here, mutilated your body in the hopes of good health. Just try and try to stay on track. The fear of causing a leak or going through all of this for nothing is just enough to keep me pushing through. You can do this!!
  18. I'm now 6 days out and while I having lost much in pounds, I can see it in my face a little bit. Wishing you all well on your journey.
  19. How are my follow 2/26'ers? Feeling any better? Im still trying to figure out this whole thing! When to eat, what to eat, when to drink. Lots of little aches and pains I'm trying to figure out as well. They are right when they say its a whole lifestyle change!!
  20. The nurse gave me warm packs to put on them to soothe them but it didn't help much. Ice sounds better but I'd ask the dr first.
  21. Great job on your weight loss. I'm only 4 days post op and I can have chicken if its blenderized with gravy or mayo to soften it up. Been too afraid to try it this early out though.
  22. 4 days post op here and day 2-3 were not the best. Hoping for a better day today. They say it gets better each day.
