  1. Vicky I was sleeved 2/11 and have lost 36 lbs. My Bmi was 39.5 the day of surgery. I try to eat every 2-3 hours, atleast. I eat oatmeal, cottage cheese or egg beaters with cheese for Breakfast. lunch is chicken salad ,egg salad or broccoli & cheese, chili, 1/2 grilled cheese on wheat. dinner varies for me. I eat alot of chicken & cheese though. I snack on beef Jerky, string cheese, Atkins Protein Bars, lots of nuts or a tablespoon of Peanut Butter on apple slices, dried fruit or sugar free italian ice are some examples. I'm very lucky I can tolerate anything I try. Besides smaller portions, i wouldn't even know I had the sleeve. I track everything i eat and keep my Protein 60-70 grams and 900-1000 calories. I would add more calories and more of a variety. Good Luck ;)

  2. surgery was 2-11. I feel fine. no real issues other then not being able to eat any kind of Protein Powder or mixed drink. incisions are fine. Water hurts but lemon water doesn't. SUPER FRUSTRATED. lost 14 the 1st week and nothing for 2weeks now. no more lost inches either. seriously the 14 I could have done without surgery. I understand stalls in a way but 1st month is bull. you eat so little and get nothing. seriously aggravated.

Hnybear5150 I was also sleeved on 2/11 and extremely frustrated that I have not lost in 12 days!!!! Makes no sense

  3. I just wanted to let everyone know 3 concerns I had prior to my surgery. Catheter, My surgeon didn't use one. Drain, it's really not that bad, my Surgeon used a rubber egg shaped drain. I could sleep with it with no problems. Finally the dreaded Swallow test, I literally took 3 drinks while they took 3 xrays. It had a medicine taste but it wasn't as horrible as I expected. I hope my experience will help you.

  4. I was sleeved today. To be honest it wasn't that bad ( besides them not being able to start an IV after 3 tries). So they put it in my arm and not my hand. They gave me a sedative before I went into the Operating Room. I don't even remember going into the OR. I was very nausea's after surgery from the pain meds. The hardest part for me was the nausea. I kept asking for ice chips and that helped me alot. I feel no different when I drank Thankfully. So don't be nervous February Sleevers, Best Wishes to all ;)
