Hello everyone! Hope that you all are in great health and good spirits. It's official now, I've been sleeved. My surgery was Feb. 11, 2013. Everything went very well. I'm still in the hospital and My doctor also repaired a hernia. I've been walking around a lot and currently sipping on shicken broth and lemonade crystal light in a medicine cup.

HOW ARE YOU COMING ALONG? THIS MORNING MY PILL WOULD'NT GO DOWN, BUT EVENTUALLY DID.....I SOUPY oatmeal BUT I COULDN'T DO IT. NOT QUITE READY FOR THAT. 2 SMALL BITES AND THAT'S IT.

I'VE HAD A LITTLE GAS, MAYBE THAT'S WHY MY LEFT SHOULD-BLADE IS A BIT DISCOMFORTING. I TOOK A GAS RELIEF CHEWABLE AND IT HELPS. MY STOMACH IS SORE AND ITCHY WHICH IS A TRUE INDICATION THAT THE WOUNDS ARE HEALING. I FEEL BETTER TODAY THAN YESTERDAY AND ABSOLUTELY NO VOMMITTING THANK GOD. HOW ARE YOU FEELING?

I'M SORRY THAT YOU'RE HAVE A DIFFICULT TIME RIGHT NOW. TRY TAKING A SIP EVERY 10 MINS AND SEE IF THAT HELPS. SIP EVERY 10 MINS. AND GET THOSE TROPICAL sugar-free POPSICLES THEY DELICIOUS AND YOU'LL STAY HYDRATED.

Thanks everyone for the get well wishes! I am 4 days post-op and things have been going really well. I came home from the hospital on 02/12/13. I'm sore in my abdominal area(5 holes). No major pain thou the Dr. did prescribe Lortab elixir. Overall my surgery was a success. It was very good and comforting to meet nurses that tended to you and who had actually had the WLS. They told me many of stories and gave very good advise. As for my diet right now, i'm on full-fluids but I can't consume it all at one time, because I get this very sharp pain when I try to consume more. My doctor told me to use the medicine cup @ least 6 times in 1 hour, to stay hydrated and walk a lot. The tropical sugar-free popsicles are my favorites. They don't seem to bother me at all.

Congratulations! Your feelings of joy after the surgery are very comforting to me, being that my surgery is Monday! Thank you! I still haven't reached the nervousness yet, in fact, i'm still anxiously and excitingly waiting. This is my 2nd day on the pre-op diet

Greetings everyone! Day 1 (Feb.4,2013) of my shrinking diet went really well! Menu for the day was: 3.5 muscle milks (Protein shakes), 2 16 oz bottles crystal light, 1 can of chicken broth and sugar-free Jello. I avoided cooking dinner last night and went to bed super early, so that I wouldn't be tempted to eat/cheat(lol). I pray that I can make it thru 6 more days and that any of you who are on this journey will also make it a success...........Have a great day guys............ :D :D

Wanted you guys to know that my pre-op appt with my doctor, nutritionist and my labs went really well at the hospital on Wed(01/30/13). I'm still super excited and my pre-op shrinking diet starts on tomorrow(02/04/2013). Yippy!

Great! Good luck! What Protein shake did you choose and how are you coming along with the liquids?

Yeah! Super excited! I can have 4 protein shakes(muscle milk), sugar-free jello/popsicles and broth. No small meals for me ! My surgery is Feb 11th. Best wishes to you......

Hello All, I'm super excited today! Nurse called and advised my surgery date is scheduled for March. 04,2013. I will have an upcoming pre-op visit with my doctor, the nutritionist and anesthesia nurse over the next few weeks.

Hi guys! Hope all are well and in good spirits. As for me, i'm super excited. Got a letter from my insurance provider today. I have so many questions, so if anyone can answer, please feel free. I would really appreciate it. 1. The letter says my condition meets the coverage criteria, but is only a predetermination. Does this mean i'm approved?

You can do it! You really look great! I can hardly wait until I have my surgery. What size were you wearing before and now. Any suggestions for me on the Protein liquid supplements. I haven't started yet, but I want to prepare.
