9 weeks, 28lbs and feeling great
I'm 9 weeks post-op and have lost 28lbs. My clothes are looking sloppy and I'm feeling great about it. I have absolutely no regrets about this decision. I did start to fell like I could handle a few tortilla chips and a slice of bread here and there, not a smart decision. I researched the process of Ketosis that is happening to my body and decided if I wanted to take advantage of this small window of about 9 months to 1 year when the weight loss is most likely to happen, I had better get serious and stop eating simple carbohydrates. I have done that now and feel really good about it. I guess I was trying to test my sleeve or something. I will be diligent about what goes in my mouth knowing that "Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels". Yea Me! Getting enough water has been the hardest part of this journey and I am so trying to get better with that. Like so many people have said, "I wish I had done this sooner", better late than never. When I have lost 50 lbs, I will share pictures. Thanks for reading.

5 days to surgery and I've caught a cold
Has this happened to anyone? Will they still do the surgery or will I have to reschedule?
-
Hate the wait and the weight even lol
I have BCBS of AZ and they approved it 1 week to the day after it was sent in. They told me they had 30 days to review it. If all of your papers were in order, they'll approve it. I was freaking out because my surgery is scheduled for March 28th and the papers were sent in on March 1st approved March 8th. Good luck to you!!

Insurance approved
Insurance approved on the first try...YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3rd day on 2-week liver shrinking diet. Not so bad, but only 3rd day. Surgery date March 28. I cannot wait...very excited. The butterflies have not shown up quite yet.

gimme a hoop -- I will jump through it
AMEN, Sister!! Hoops are last thing we need. Not like this is just a passing thought to have major surgery. Do they have any idea how serious it must be for anyone to come to this decision? I will hopefully get a surgery date on Feb 21 and be on my way, but until then it's a waiting game. Good luck to you!!
- Things to be excited for when I get fit and healthy

College clothes fitting again! Whoot!
Awesome!!! I can't wait to join you in that excitement. I too have clothes that I thought would just stay in the container under the bed forever. Now I have hope to actually wear them again.
