  1. OK Let me rephrase that. I have found people on here who have used them and have been successful with them. Were you this much of a b**** when you were fat if so I feel sorry for whoever you're around if not maybe you should get fat again. And if you don't like what I have to ask then stay off of the question if you haven't used them then you're no help anyways.

learn that potty mouth in your snake oil/body wrap training sessions??

  2. Well, that isn't what I asked (whether or not to stay away from carbonated drinks). From my research I see no good reason to stay away from them. It feels just like drinking Water to me (and yes I get in all my water). No discomfort or gas and I don't see how people thinks this "stretches" their stomachs. Anyhoo, I was just curious if anyone had an opinion about the taste of the Protein powder in the diet sprite.

well why didnt you just say that you were looking for justification and a few attagirls to make you feel better about going off plan....

Just do it, you already have your mind made up...

  3. Id really think those of us who have resorted to having 80% of your stomach removed to lose weight would be smarter than to fall for any of these quick weight loss/lose XX inches in days crappy schemes....

ITS A TEMPORARY APPEARANCE OF LOSS...

want similar results?? remember the aluminum foil sweatsuits from the 80's??

Buy a Box of SARAN Wrap....wrap your body in it... after hours, you will APPEAR to have lost inches and maybe even pounds.... dont worry, its just the result of the heat on your skin for hours combined with being tightly would in a casing.... you'd get some of the same affect by wearing a too small girdle though not as dramatic because of the lack of heat issue....

in a few days, the inches will magically re-appear

Im truly surprised at some of you....but as long as you are spending your money, I have a bridge off Manhattan for sale as well....

  4. I buy jeans mostly at Goodwill because for the past 3 or 4 months, Ive been going thru sizes pretty quickly... Im also the clearance rack queen...

I have really been struggling with body image issues.... I am fitting loosely in size 12, tightly in size 10.... I know , in my head at least, that I am not HUGE anymore...I can pick up an outfit and see if its too big or too small.... and as long as I have clothes on, I think I look OK... but as soon as I am naked or in my skivvies, I still see the 280 pound me in the mirror

as some of you know, Im training for triathlon.... until yesterday I had still been wearing my size 20 bathing suits...Lycra is forgiving so the body portion fit OK, at least I thought, but for the past week or so Ive spent more time trying to hold up the straps than doing strokes during my laps in the pool...

I found a size 12 bathing suit for $10 in Marshalls... not the most attractive thing but its ONE PIECE and it FITS... SOLD!

so last night at training session, I walked pass a door that is tinted so you can see from outside.. it has sorta a mirror reflection type of tine...and since it was dark outside, it provided a sort of silhouette... and in the shadow, I dont look too bad in my new bathing suit....the dimples in my thighs arent as visible and my stomach was covered...

now of course, as soon as I went to take a shower & saw my nakedness again, I was grossed out....

Im 25 pounds away from a Tummy Tuck ( or panni at least) , God willing.... hopefully the time, additional weightloss and getting rid of my apron will help with my body image issues

  5. I kinda agree with you.. I just hit 100 posts yesterday and though I joined just in January, my 6 month surgiversary was yesterday... that technically qualifies me to participate here however I hardly consider myself a vet...

maybe another term should be used because I do find that I have outgrown the typical newbie questions that are posted 100's of times a week.... not that I mind answering them but I also appreciate having another "safe" place an correspond about the next stages of WL

  6. Amazing weightloss! Congratulations. Would like to hear how this loss has impacted your health.

I had no real co-morbs before surgery ....achy knees....swollen feet.... I went from squeezing into size 10 shoes to a size 9 with a lil room to spare... and I had a few achy joints last month that the Dr attributed to my body adjusting to weight loss, bones shifting, etc....

  7. well not really a beard but seems like since surgery, instead of the 1 or 2 wayward chin hairs , I now wake up to oddly placed 2 inch strands.... on my cheekbone... on my chin... just all over my face

there can be up to about 15 of them, none close to each other but all over... and how in hell do they grow so long overnight?

the hair on my head never grows this fast ( I WISH!)

I do know losing fat affected my hormones ( as evidenced by my period that now comes every 3 weeks like clockwork) but this is CRAZY!!!!

  8. I had 116 pounds to lose to get to the top of "normal" on BMI charts.... I've lost 82 pounds as of yesterday.... makes for 70% excess weight loss....

My surgeon says he considers anything over 50% a success....fortunately my goals are loftier... I will lose 136 pounds and then maybe an additional 10 vanity pounds...the latter may not ever happen but Im sure as heck gonna try.

  9. when I was bigger, I lost 40 pounds and didnt lose a jean size mostly due to where I lost ( up top body looked like it belonged to someone else) .... I stayed in size 20 up to about 50 pound lost... then skipped 18 ( was pissed because like others, I purchased a pairm albeit on clearance) that went to waste... I stayed in 16's for about 20 pounds

it seems when we get to about size 14, or even 12, it takes much less weightloss to get to a smaller size....and a LOT depends of body composition

yesterday I purchased 2 pairs of size 12 jeans from my Goodwill....one wit tags still on them...I am 190 pounds at somewhere between 5'7" and 5'8"....

  10. I feel like I can drink the cup down pretty fast, of course I'm sipping but do not really feeling restricted

you are still medicated too... so you cant feel everything yet... today or tomorrow you may feel like you've been hit in the gut with a bat... the feeling of being able to drink a lot is all in your head.... if you can do a half a medicine cup you will be doing a lot better than I could....

most important thing right now is to sip ( stay hydrated) and walk...

  11. go to lifegrit.com ( or you can search for a different producer at you app store) but there are great apps called 200 squats... will help you with a starting & ending goal and help you to achieve it....

there is also one called 100 pushups and 200 situps
