  2. yes... I pushed the limits on my liquid intake and since my bursitis is better, I got up and moved...so happy!
  3. ah ok...its probably the splenda that is messing with the tastebuds... anyway, push the fluids... are you taking your vitamins?
  4. you can add crystal lite to water as well... if it will help get the fluids in... good luck to you!
  5. you may need to make sure you're getting in the liquids... you may be dehydrated...
  6. I broke my stall... dunno what happened... but I actually GAINED 2 lbs... thankfully I lost it and more... down to 278 as of this morning's weigh in... 3 lbs from my Valentine's Day Challenge goal!!
  7. I was very fortunate... I had more soreness than actual pain... the worse part was coughing... but within 5 days I was much better... take solace in the fact that it does get better...
  8. going through the whole not wanting to eat thing... I could live on water, tea and crystal lite... but I know I gotta get the protein in...so I eat... I was so grateful to be chewing again... but seriously, its all quite tasteless...
  9. I wish I had an update to share...
  10. THANK YOU!!! I was thinking the same thing... I must be doing something wrong!!
  11. I had my fry incident 8 days post op... I just wanted to taste it... so I chewed it up and spit it out... I was afraid to swallow!
  12. My doc never said anything against straws... so I've used them since I got home from the hospital... I am almost 6 weeks out...
  13. Will your doctor clear you to walk? Mine had me walking the day of surgery... and every day since... back to strength training after 6 wks... I can't wait! I'm ready to sculpt this body into something fabulous!!
  14. I'm only 5 weeks out but in my experience.... if I don't eat, I don't lose... so I eat...probably about 600 cals daily... maybe less... but I eat about 5 times a day... and while I did hit a stall, it wasn't longer than a week... I applaud your success...
  15. *jealous* Men lose so much faster than us girls! LOL congratz!
  16. ginger tea... just a few sips will calm the nausea...
  17. I have a 20 oz cup with a straw... and I usually end up drinking about 3 1/2 of those during the day...
  18. I am curious to know what everyone is going to DO to make it to the VDay goal? Me...I've started walking before work and during my lunch break... I am 6 lbs from my VDay goal!! Praying NO MORE STALLS!! good luck everyone! Pre-op: 304.5 Current: 281.6 VDay goal: 275
  19. I am one month post op and already, my shoes are too big... and I didn't know I had curves! I thought I was one continuous curve ( a circle...lol) I also wasn't prepared to NOT feel hungry... that is very different for me... I can't wait till I can ditch these clothes and get a pair of skinny jeans!! LOL
  20. I have a different experience... I stopped feeling hungry the day of surgery...when my daughter cooks something I cannot have, I have a desire to taste whatever she makes... but the whole hunger pangs... nope... not there... I realize its head hunger... and my tastebuds talking... I also experience all kinds of gurgles and sounds coming from my stomach... but nothing related to wanting to eat... I simply do not want to eat... I feel like I am eating and drinking something all the time ( so weird for an ex-overeater to say...) The only time I feel like my body is telling me to eat something is when I get this sick feeling in my gut... and if I sip or take a bite, it leaves... is that my new hunger indicator? hmmm
  21. Thanks for the encouragement... my clothes are starting to get very loose... I went back through this thread and I see I am not alone... but I gotta get these lbs off... I am gonna try to get more protein in and get the water in... I realize I'm in a deficit...
