I did tell people about my surgery. I had to go back to work after two weeks. I took soup and small yogurt cups in the beginning. I don't know where you live, but the excuse of a good cup of soup in the winter to warm you, should fly under the radar
TD,
I went back to work 10 days after surgery. I told no coworkers and hardly any family either. I just felt I didn't need to because it was my business. My advice would be to NOT eat any new foods at work. I had the sliming/vomiting three times and it was the worst, but luckily it was at home. Here is what I ate at work: protein shake on drive in (7am), yogurt (9am), soup (12pm) cottage cheese (3pm) and then I was home for dinner. I typically eat lunch with a group of people in the staff lunchroom, and not one person noticed my change in eating habits or said "you are only having soup?" Feel free to send me a message if you have any other questions.
