  1. It's so funny Seth, I can't speak for anyone else, but after my op, my whole attitude changed. It's like I can't be negative anymore regarding my body and weight loss, in the past it was so easy to feel bad about body issues when things weren't as I had wished. It's like looking at the world through new eyes, it is truly amazing, my niece had VSG before me and her change of attitude and positivity was same as me. I feel wonderful. I hope all goes fantastically for you, remember to be patient and listen to not only your body, but your head too, good thoughts in!! Just after my op I had doubts as I guess we all do and they continued for up to two months, but slowly those doubts got replaced, it happens, I'm in a great place and hope to stay here! LOL
  2. We have the same starting weight virtually, me 1/2 kilo more. Your pic is fantastic and inspires me to keep up what I'm doing. I only can hope that I might look as good as you when I reach 100kg. About 15kg to go for me, I love seeing those numbers getting smaller every week!
  3. I tried on clothes out of my wardrobe the other day and am having that problem. When I started exercising I went and bought singlets and rights from big W and just live in them now so it's funny to put something on you haven't worn for three months or more now. And I've only lost about 15kg since op, my body has totally changed and I like it!
  4. Oh man. I knew that was you at the Police Station the other day when I got arrested!! Hahahahahaha j/k
  5. That is really strange, everyone I know of eats oats/oatmeal
  6. I'm hoping my homemade will be the best! Just did it tonight, it's in the oven overnight then chilled for six hours then strained for another two. I really hope it tastes great :-)
  7. Unfortunately my surgeon only operates at QE2 and Greenslopes, so I couldn't be close to be home. That said, North West is part of Ramsay Health Care, the same as Greenslopes, I've had two ops there now and can't speak highly enough of the place so I'm guessing North West would be the same. Do you get to go home Wednesday?
  8. Laura - You are an absolute HOOT girl! Every time I find posts you have responded to, I find myself either smiling or need I say it, breaking into a bit of a chuckle!!! Pretty funny if I'm in a public place reading VST on my iPhone LOL
  9. I use the treadmill every day at the gym, it's so much better than outside walking, I don't have to constantly keep watching the ground to make sure my ankles don't twist. I love my gym! Jetts Gym No contracts and cheap as!
  10. Lol, I live about 500 metres from there. Hope today is as good as yesterday for you honey.
  11. I got 23 balls out of my mixture and its 103 cals per ball 6 g Protein, but this would differ greatly depending on what protein powder and sweetener etc was used
  12. So excited for you! It's funny, before my op I wouldn't have thought that, but I am so do happy with my sleeve that I get excited when I hear about someone else getting it done. LOL I reckon we are all Sleeve Sisters! Oh by the way, you have nothing to worry about, a little discomfort for a few days, that's it!
  13. Thanks B1zzy Yes I been told they are good, but after surgery a chewable or liquid is better, for me anyway, as I still can't swallow big pills. Also if they have coatings on them, I am led to believe that they won't be absorbed well by us with a sleeve. It's so unfair, USA has so much choice as far as these things go, we need to catch up a lot here in Aus.
  14. Just wondering what everyone takes in the way of vitamin/mineral supplements. I take a chewable Multivitamin - Healthy Care brand sublingual B12 - Thompsons brand Chewable Calcium and D - Calcia brand Biotin - Thompsons brand I have read that the calcium (carbonate) contained in my supplement is no good for us tho so ill have to find one better that contains the calcium citrate Does anyone have any suggestions that are chewable?
  15. I made these the other day but used unflavoured protein powder and added a tablespoon of cocoa instead of the flavored protein powder. I also used quick oats and they are so yummy straight from the freezer, but stick really badly to my dentures LOL
  16. I made the protein balls, the recipe that was posted on the first page. I used plain protein powder and added a tablespoon of cocoa and used quick oats instead of traditional. They are really yummy eaten straight out of the freezer. I do find they stick to my dentures really Badly by OmG are they good and really great of you have a sweet craving!!
