Ty i finally made it home n wow do the gas bubbles suck its horrible they say 64 oz of Water i cant even drink a whole bottle yet:/

I also had surgery on the 14th i will b released on the 18th I had a ruff 2 days i formed a blood clot n was throwing up blood I am doing so much better I also had allot of air in my stomach making a very gassy stomach:/ i will try yogurt n applesauce at lunch today hoping it goes well have not finished a full cup of liquids:/ Defiantly gets better Im do glad its over and can move on to a new healthy me:) good luck everyone

I had my surgery Monday 1st 2days i was pretty nauseated im starting to feel a little better i had alot of air in my stomach with is very uncomfortable my upper gi didn't go so well n i kept throwing the contrast up. How is everyone else feeling from there surgery

They told me atleast 2 wks they sent mine in on a friday got a response by tuesday:)

my paperwork goes in on monday:) super nervous went through entire program 2x only to have have insurance changes and the last attempt ... august 2012 i happen to wind up having one of the the only Aetna with an exculsion sooooo hear i go ...again !

I know the feeling this was my 3rd time trying I was in heaven when it finally was approved good luck

Hi im on the 17th and this is my 3rd day on liquids i drank 5 shakes aday but to day I had 3 wings for dinner and Water .I couldn't help my self my headache finally went away.

I was having the same problem with head aches when i was drinking the shakes try the whey Protein bullets grape flavor there not the best but they fill u up n cause u from not having head aches i do the bullets for lunch n dinner and i drink the muscle milk for Breakfast

My surgery is set for Jan 14 im on day 5 of my liquid diet I take a muscle milk in am 20grams Protein then for lunch n dinner I do a whey bullet grape flavor those r 42 grams of protein so thats 104 grams of protein im down 10 lbs but cant lie had 2 taco home made with a little cheese and my stomach hurts:/ so i cant slip up plus I drink lots of Water all day long

No explanation of the cause except maybe a faulty staple. Nothing I did wrong. Possibly because I'm way more nauseous and vomit a lot more than I should. It's better but not "corrected" it's hard to "correct" a problem like that. The leak itself is thought to be closed but being in the hospital do long and all the other things that have to be done to keep me alive are causing problems. Leaks are life threatening. It's a serious thing to think about.

I hope u get better soon and u can get on the right path. How long have u been in the hospital? How long has it been since surgery

My surgeon has done the procedure before. He's done it' date=' DS, RNY, for years. But he's never had a leak with the sleeve until me. Only RNY or DS leaks.[/quote']

I had the sleeve. I was my surgeon's first sleeve leak. I knew the risks going in and despite reading how bad it was I was NOT ready for that kind of Hell.

Wow i would of had been scared being the surgeons first patient my dr has done this procedure for yrs now im srry your having complications

My surgery is the same same as your and my doctor has not put me on pre diet...I go see him on the 1/8/13 I guess he may do so then. But I am not sure. Myabe I should start my own pre diet.

See they told us in our seminars n what not once we got a date then we start our liquid diet 2wks from that day Its hard at first the Protein Drinks were making me light headed thats why i turned to the bullets n muscle milk I would atleast call and ask them to b on the safe side good luck to us! Im counting down my days:)

My dr requires a liquid diet for 2 wks b4 taking in 80-100grams of Protein I have found the bullets r easier they contain 42grams so i take those for lunch n dinner and I drink a muscle milk 20mg protein and if im still hungry I have been eating light n fit yogurt unsweetened apple sauce or sugar free Jello. How long was everyones pre diet plan

Your lucky only 24hr liquid diet Im on a liquid diet for 2 wks I started on 1/1/13 and my surgery date is 1/14/13

I would seriously give it a go without surgery first. As high as my BMI was' date=' I still regret putting my family through the complications. I just got home after a month in the hospital for a tiny leak that was caught early. I went 3-4 weeks with NOTHING. Not even ice chips. Just TPN. I had a drain and it's healing is causing me some super pain, lung collapsed, got MRSA, had a tube shoved up my nostril down into my stomach that has damaged my voice, I've lost so much strength I can't even carry my chihuahua without getting dizzy.

If 60 lbs is worth the near death experience, go ahead. But I would strongly reconsider. At least try on your own :/[/quote']
