  1. Well I am 5'6 and I understand how you fell I was gonna stop at 180 but i was still way to big so I took it to 165 and still not happy now I'm going for 150-155 I think there I will be okay I'm almost there and am okay with this weight Its the skin that has my tripping I'm set up for skin removal soon so its all good. maybe then I can really see my hard work.

I'm 5'8 and just knew that I would be so satisfied at 170. 170 quickly became 160 and now I'm down to 150 and still not satisfied. Loose skin is definitely an issue however, I think psychologically I'm still in that 230lb body. We are consciously taking care of our bodies physically and I fear we are neglecting to nurture the psychological.

  2. Just curious how my fellow December Sleevers are doing in the excess skin department. While I'm very excited to have lost 72lbs (sleeved 12-22/11) I'm discouraged to see the amount of excess skin especially under my arms and inner thighs. I'm guilty of not working out as I know It will help with toning. What's everyone else doing to combat the excess skin???

  3. I'm about 12 weeks post surgery and was wondering what everyone's thoughts are about juicing. I still struggle with eating solids while Protein Shakes go down so easily. I was wondering if I juiced my vegetables with some fruit I would get a lot more nutrients and Vitamins throughout the day. Way more than I could possibly get by just eating them solid. Does anyone know why this might be a bad idea?

  4. I used these measurements to make it for my family and I ( 4 kids and hubby). I would say 10-12 servings since it lasted two days. However, for our size portions, at least a week so you might want to cut the proportions of the recipe in half.

Not sure of the nutritional values. Sorry.

  5. There aren't enough recipes for those of us still in the puréed phase. I thought I would share my favorite: Lentil Soup purée

    1 cup of red lentils

4 cups of Water or ff chicken broth

2 stalks of celery (cut in pieces)

2 medium sized carrots ( cut in pieces)

    1 Tomato

    1 onion

    5 gloves of minced garlic

    Salt and pepper to taste

Combine all ingredients and cook for about 20-25 minutes in a pot big enough to hold all the ingredients. Scoop a cupful at a time and purée in your blender. If your in the purée stage, purée well. If you're on soft foods, leave slightly lumpy. Delicious! Enjoy!
