3. hi Debz

I'm Joanne and i was banded on the 14th may and i would never turn the clock back i love the band and shes a great best friend always their for you even when you have a few ups and downs , as long has you work with the band its a very good tool to have to help with weight loss and remember that your weight didn't go on over night so don't expect it to come off over night . My mum and 2 aunties and cousin have also had the band done and not one of them regret having the band done .

good luck Debz with your banding journey you will never regret it .

    joanne xx

  4. foxy that's meant to be a great hotel and they will pick you up from the train station and take you to the hospital to , the pancakes are meant to be really good when you have your last super i could get into that hotel .

have you been on the gastric band forum that most of Dr Focquet patients go on

  5. I'm going for Dr Focquet - I'm seeing him next Friday - I had a consult at the Healthier Weight Centre (London based surgery) too and I liked the surgeon there but the cost was £8,000 which is hard to justify really and surgeon had only done 1,500 procedures. I have heard nothing but good things about having the procedure in Belgium, of course some people have had complications but they haven't been related to being in Belgium and that could happen where ever you are.

I like the fact that Dr Focquet had done over 3,000 procedures and have not found at anything negative about him. I do nothing but research this in my spare time and I have found this forum to be like an oasis in an desert. Who would have thought that so many people would have the same story to tell.

  7.
hi

i had my band done in Belgium by Dr Marc a.m.r.m. focquet MD . i would highly recommend him he puts you right at ease . his office is in London consultation is £60 the total cost was about £3,800 with all cost that's transport i drove to Belgium hospital stay for 1 night ,2nights hotel stay and the banding ,each fill is £60 .

i chose Belgium because of the cost to have it done here was way to much .

  8. hiya cyndilou

my auntie had the band fated last November and couldn't keep anything down because she was so swollen after the op she ended up back into hospital i mean to alarm you she was fine after a couple of days when the swelling went down so please don't worry if in doubt ring your Dr .good luck to you and may your journey be stress free

  9. hi hf2havefun

I'm a week in with the banding i have not felt hungry yet . i lost 17lb the first week . its the best thing i have done for me . as far as the surgery goes i think it depends on how much weight you have to loss in the long run and how fast you loss the excess weight , i know my self i will need att and chest up lift as they have already gone south
