I told those who didn't support me because they were afraid what my life would be like 20 years down the road with the sleeve. I told them if I didn't have it done look what my life would be like then. I would probably be a diabetic with a leg amputated from unhealing ulcers, coronary artery disease probably a stroke and that's if I am still slice. That shut them up pretty quick. Good luck. Not yet! I'm scheduled for this Monday. 34 hours to go. I used to live in Parma and North Ridgeville. I miss it up there. I grew up in toledo so I'm a true Buckeye. Where do you live? Lakewood? Rocky River? I hope someday to move back but I moved to Cape Coral FL to take care of my parents. Dad passed in September but mom is going strong. Can't wait to get this done. This liquid diet was easy after the 4 th day. I'm glad you are doing well! Way to go on the weight loss. My friends in north Ridgeville are not supporting my decision but hey that's just it....it's my decision. Keep in touch and keep up the good work!!!

You sound just like me!! This is my 50th b day present to myself to. I am being sleeved in 34 hours. I can't believe it!!!! I'm excited. I have to honestly say that I asked my doc for .5 Ativan for these last couple days and it has helped tremendously! I feel ready now!!! Lets keep in touch!!!

It does get easier! The first day was the hardest. I had a headache day 3-4 then it was smooth sailing from then on. I'm on day 10 now. 3 more days of liquid diet then my new life begins!

Im on day 9 and I cheated a tiny bit in day 4 with a small slicer of pizza that I ate very very slow and on day 5 I had a naked side salad with boiled shrimp on it. It was very small but we were at the beach with friends and they all wanted to go out to eat afterwards and I couldn't just sit there so I had that and a lite beer. There was probably less calories and carbs in that then in one protein shake. The weekend was the hardest but I do fine on the weekdays. My surgery is this Monday. Augh!!!!!! Super Bowl is ruined for me. ????????????

I live about an hour from the Tervis tumbler headquarters here in Florida. They are sold all over down here. If you don't have stores that sell them go online. I must have a dozen in my kitchen. And you can order them in your fav sports team, school, hobby, etc. the sippy lids are awesome to and they keep cold drinks cold and hot drinks hot. A little pricey but well worth it.

I hate to say this but maybe you should check to be sure you didn't pick up c-diff in the hospital. I would call your doctor just to be on the safe side.

Me too! But I slipped today. I had a small salad with boiled shrimp on it. I'm supposed to be on my 2 week pre op diet but I couldn't stand it any longer. We were with a group of friends at the beach. I knew I shouldn't have gone into that restaurant! Damn! Well I have one more week to go. No more cheating!!!!

I agree with Traci. You can still go ahead with the appointment for WLS and do the weight loss diet and be one step ahead of the game (not that this is a game) if for some reason it doesn't work out and you decide on the surgery. It's what's best for you. You will know when you have exhausted all options. You have to be 100% sure of this because there's no going back. Not that you want to. I'm being sleeved next week and there is no doubt in my mind I'm doing the right thing for me!
