  1. I'm going in a fortnight, I'll give a write up as well. I'm also going to try and take pictures and maybe do a youtube video. That might be too ambitious...we'll see
  2. I'm hoofing it back to ATL on 4/4-4/5...sigh I did get the economy comfort, though - and I'm hoping to upgrade to first if there are seats available for the flight home.
  3. I booked this morning. I'm flying in a little later in the afternoon and I have to take a red eye back to Atlanta. Oh well, it'll be an adventure
  4. I don't think my invite worked
  5. I'm on April first, so my countdown is really ticking and I'm starting to get really anxious. Part of me is happy and part is like, what am I doing? I'm going to cut part of my stomach? I'm going alone to a foreign country to purposely hurt myself (well, temporarily). I know it's for the best but I am still anxious.
  6. I'm replying to this so I can save the link and join tonight. Thanks for making a group!
  7. I'm going alone. I'm terrified, but I'm going alone anyway.
  8. I'm going to make baggies of protein powder for the ride home and maybe some packets of Crystal Light to carry with
  9. I'm going the first week of April. I've heard wonderful things!
  10. I am. I always am nervous about anesthesia. I've never had any problems with it yet, so I think it will be okay. I think part of my problem is that I'm a control freak and I hate giving up control of my body :/
  11. I had this problem and eventually I started throwing up my undigested meals...it turned out to be a bad gall bladder. Did you doctor say anything about your GB?
  12. Wait - so is that the part they cut out?
  13. Imgur works really good for sharing pictures
  14. Yeah, I think in Mexico the time frame is whatever fits your schedule. I was able to plan it during a week where I wouldn't be needed at work. I've been booked since the beginning of January, but I've had lots of time to plan and get my affairs in order.
  15. I told my husband and my best friend, but only because she is going to pick me up from the airport. I'm just a private person, except when I tell everything to total strangers on here, lol
  16. I have the same dates. I'm getting sleeved with Dr. Ortiz at the OCC
  17. Yeah, I'm not telling them anything more than "minor surgery" - my co-workers already know I have GI issues, so I'll let them think it's related to that. I would also like to add that I don't really like my co-workers and if I told them the real reason they'd spend all day talking about it behind my back. Can you tell I'm looking for a different job?
  18. On the blog weighty matters, he says cereal has a lot of carbs and sugar, even the "healthy" ones. If you think about it nutritionally, there are better foods you could eat for fiber.
  19. It feels so good to be free of a bad gall bladder. Mine was so bad they did emergency surgery. I wouldn't wish that kind of pain on anyone!
  20. So excited for you! I wish my day was here!
  21. It was kind of hard at first, but I transitioned with some gf processed foods, like cookies when I got cravings. I knew if I felt deprived I would binge, even though I feel like crap when I eat gluten. If anyone is interested in going gf, I'd be glad to help.
  22. La croix! I hardly knew ye
  23. I will miss diet coke and sparkling water. I'm already gluten free so going without starch won't be a big deal.
  24. Baby wipes are going to be your friend towards the end of all that diarrhea.
