    Sneezing

I would get hiccups when I was full. Now I get hiccups and a runny nose. Those are my signals to stop eating.

    Insomnia!

Nice to know I have company! I've been waking up anywhere between 2:00 - 4:00 am every day for the past four years. I slept all night for the first week post op and then back to being up 2:00 - 4:00 am! It's strange how it's around the same time every night . I'm so tired!

    6 month pictures

You look great! Happy and healthy !
  8. My doctor refused to weigh me at my 2 week visit. He said it was not important! Yes I couldn't believe it either. What was very important was getting enough water, protein and exercise. I stalled at week 2 for about 3 weeks. I was so frustrated. Every time I would lose a few pounds the scale would jump up a few pounds and I'd spend the next week trying to get the scale down again. Very frustrating but everyone has their own pattern of losing. My body is constantly stopping to "re-calculate". Bottom line is, at almost 5 months post op I'm down 53 pounds. Focus on how your clothes fit more than the number on the scale. Before you know it you'll be into a nice pattern of losing. Good luck!

    Afraid to Weigh..

Nvt ... Thank you for posting I lose and gain about 3-4 lbs and then it drops for a while and then lose and gain again. Good to know that others have the same pattern. I was getting worried that I was doing something wrong.

3 days post op and tired

I felt the same way after my surgery. I thought I was doing the right thing by resting in bed to heal my body after surgery but I just was not getting better. I was more tired every day. When I went for my 2 week follow up, my doctor actually yelled at me. He said "I told you that you have to Move!" I thought I had gone in to get clearance for exercise but he had given me clearance while in the hospital. I didn't remember that . Anyway, I went home all upset got on my bike for 20 min. Well, to my surprise, I felt like a new person the next day. I had to take back all those bad words I had called my doctor. if you want to feel better...sip, sip, sip and try to get protein in AND move your body! You'll feel better soon.
  11. I was sleeved on 5/14/13 and I'm going through the same struggle as you are. To my surprise, bread goes down very easily. I've noticed that if I eat oatmeal (even when I add protein powder) I want to eat carbs all day. It's funny but the sleeve really magnifies what we can and can't do in order to lose weight. We just have to learn to listen to it. I'm glad you posted your struggle. It help me!
