  1. Ok, so call me crazy. I had surgery (band to sleeve revision) on Wednesday Jan 9th. I took Wed, Thurs, and Fri off and then also had Sat and Sun to recover. (or so I thought). I returned to work on Monday Jan 14th, and it has seriously kicked my booty ever since. I come in the door in the afternoon barely able to put one foot in front of the other. I wish I had anticipated how much I was going to be affected by this surgery. I had one day lap band surgery four years ago and was back at my desk the very next day, I never missed a beat. But this..... a whole different ballgame. I wish I had pre applied for short term disability leave through my job and taken 4-6 weeks off. My Dr. is very conservative so I am just now getting to start on meats and what I call real food. The fatigue is getting better day by day. 35 lbs down from Jan 1st 2013.

  2. i am in January! 1/17 is my date. i am on the liquid diet now... i am super nervous and i have had REALLY bad heartburn with the liquids. IT SUCKS but i i have confidence it will all be worth it? right? :(

Dr. Miles did my band to sleeve revision on Jan 9th. He is WONDERFUL!! All of the staff at SVE were awesome. You will do great!! If you have any questions about my experience please don't hesitate to ask.

  3. Thanks all! I guess I just went for so long with no restriction with the band filled to the max. Now, being able to down the fluids with no problems, makes me worry that my sleeve is too large or something. My surgeon said I had a large amount of scar tissue, but did not mention anything about stretching. Well, at least I know I am not getting dehydrated.

  4. Good Luck to all of you with upcoming surgeries. I am home now and actually feeling pretty good.I am laying on the sofa watching TV. The liquid pain med is keeping me comfortable. I am not nauseated anymore thank goodness. I have been sipping on Water, but my favorite so far is sugar free popsicles. The anxiety I had experienced before surgery, although normal, was really unfounded. My surgeon, nurses, and other caregivers were wonderful. I do not regret this decision at all. I am beyond excited to have the band out. I wish all of you with upcoming surgeries the best of luck for a speedy recovery. The first 24 hours was a doozy! After that, it has been smooth sailing. For me at least.
