I've been reading any info I can find on Dr. Alvarez. I really like everything I've read about him, but I'm also scared that it could all be a crazy hoax (only b/c that's my luck w/things!) Is there anything you've read about him that worried you? And how hard was it to get financed? Thanks so much for the help! One more thing, I'd LOVE to hear how everything goes for you after the surgery:) Good Luck!! You'll do great!

I haven't had surgery yet, however, I'm really wanting to have it done at the end of this year. I absolutely LOVE reading all of the funny and often NOT funny things everyone has to say. So many of them remind me of myself! Thanks so much for being yourselves... And honest about this journey!!

I'm 26 and in my 2nd year of nursing school... I'm really looking into having VGS with Dr. Alvarez. At 4'11", 240# just ISN'T healthy! I'm so glad to know I'm not the only "younger" person out here:)
