W6d2 was hard! I had to run slow for the last interval. But I did it! This is when the rubber hits the road and each day just gets harder. I remember it from before. I will do it. Sheer determination. Friday I will be 2/3 of the way there.Keep it up Mistysj. Your a winner!!

Well for one thing' date=' we always do better on race day than in training. The enthusiasm of the event and the crowd will pump you up and carry you farther than normal. So that right there will help. But even if it doesn't....I've never been to a run where people didn't start walking within the first 2 minutes. People are going to walk and there's no shame in it. I still have days where I can't run 5K without walking, and other days where I feel like I can run a marathon. So my point is go and have fun, and if you have to walk for a minute don't worry about it. You'll still finish and have reason to be proud.[/quote']

Crushed my circuit training today. Feeling better after bombing my run yesterday. Still debating about doing a 5K on Labor Day. Don't know why I'm so hesitant. It's not like its my first. I think I'm scared because I should be able to run the while thing so I'm afraid of letting myself down if I end up walking part of it. Isn't that silly?? There, now my heart is on the table. Be gentle please.

I did week 6 day 1. I can't believe I made it. 10 minutes straight of running. Twice!Congratulations!

Did my run this morning after a 4 day break. Not a good thing. Had to stop & walk once but after a min & half I made myself start back up. Happy I finished but disappointed I didn't run the whole thing. I hope the rest if the day goes better!

Just finished W3D3 - NO CLUE how im supposed to survive the 3min run followed by 5min run of week 4....You can do it! It's mind over matter.

Circuit training done. Off for a long weekend of camping now. Taking the bikes so I should still be able to fit in some cardio. Still not brave enough to run out in public. One day I will though. Happy weekend everyone.

Has anyone dealt with runners knee? My knee only starts to hurt after I've been out running for a while. Feels ok after I stop. Hurts to go down stairs. I guess I need to get in to the orthopedic and maybe get some Orthovisc injections.That sounds painful!

My get up and go got up and left the building before I ever got there this morning BUT I still completed my run, cinder block legs & all.

W2D2 down. Wish i could keep up the speed and pace that i start out with.I finished c25k and am just now working on speed. Having a "bunny trail" mind makes it hard to focus on more than one thing at a time. Lol

I run at the gym near my work and two days off in a row plus a really busy day before that means that I am behind and will need to bring my gym stuff home and do w4d3 outside on Saturday. I'm a bit nervous about that!Good luck. Your my inspiration to try it outside. Let me know how it goes.

C210K W2D2 at 4.2. Moving along. Really quiet here this week. I'm really in a slump. I feel like I'm moving forward with my running but my weight loss has stalled AGAIN. I got over the 6 mo stall and here I am at 8 mos stalling again. Do you think it's time to go back to only shakes for a couple of weeks?

Ran my 25 min today with 5 min warm up & cool down. Each week I'm increasing my speed a click. I've also started the C210K program. Still struggling with the running outside issues but each week it seems I'm arguing less & less with myself so I think I'm making progress there as well.

Week 4 day 1 done. Whew! I had to dial the running back to 8 kph. The first round of running was the hardest. Just gotta get started.Congratulations! You didn't give up and the hardest part of all!!! You, my dear, are a runner. Yep, no doubt about it!

Circuit today and NOT looking forward to work. People screaming for their money and I have no control over how fast they get paid. Grrrrr

Do you follow any program in particular for the circuit? I wouldn't know where to start.
I just do 3 min on my bike, wall push ups, 3 min elliptical, crunches, leg floor exercises, resistance bands for arms & waist, exercise ball exercises & then if I have time &/or energy I go through again finishing with 3 on the bike.

Hi all:Just finished W2 D1 last night. I'm doing the program every other day. My question is what activity do you guys do on the other days? I read that running every day is not recommended specially for a beginner like myself but I would like to exercise on a daily basis. I'm thinking maybe take a bike ride on the other days so as to not put stress on my joints.

I do circuit on my off days. Just 30 min to help build muscles and hopefully help the "wavy" skin a little.
