So my surgery is on Tuesday March 12th any last minute advice you guys have? Throw it at me! I'm starting to get really anxious.

I'm interested! I'm 21 and set to be sleeved on March 12th! You can find me on Facebook Makayla Amberly Lane.

I'm also on the lower end of the BMI scale I'm 30.5 and going to have my surgery done by Dr. Alvarez in Mexico. Everyone keeps telling me I'm too small and I shouldn't do it. I'm doing it anyways because I'm ready to be happy with my body and do the things I want to do!

Thanks for the info. I actually work at planet fitness here in texas! Lol. So a trainer isn't much needed. I'm just gonna start a lifting routine until i have the surgery.

Okay so I'm so scared that I'm going to lose a lot of the muscle in my legs which I don't want to do. I played competitive volleyball for 7 years and have very muscular legs that I don't want to lose. I carry all my weight in my abdomen. I can't decide if it will be beneficial to me to do weight training before surgery to bulk up my muscle so hopefully I won't lose a lot of it. Just a thought, I didn't know if anyone else had these thoughts.

Thanks for the help guys! One other thing obviously I'll be on Clear Liquids for a bit, any trick to make it less monotinous??

Thanks! Also I guess I'm eager to know how much weight loss is averages per week. I know that everyone is different but just curious. My weight right now is 195# and I'm 5' 7". I can't decide since I would like to lose 65# if it will come off fast or it will come off slower than someone who has more weight to lose?

Okay so what are the best Protein Drinks out there for post op? Obviously something packed with Protein in the littlest amount possible.

The date is set! March 12th! I'm so excited!

I am going to mexico! Lol. Ten pounds is no problem, I'll just tack them on before I go considering I'll be on vacation the week before. We all know you don't lose weight on vacation.

So I'm 10 lbs short of being eligible, I really hate the thought of gaining more weight.
-
So I'm 10 lbs too light from being able to have the surgery. I guess I better eat well this Christmas. Hope everyone has a happy holiday!

Oops I accidently pressed send. Anyways I've decided to have WLS, my mom had it done in March by Dr. Alvarez and has had AMAZING results! I'm a nursing student and have a year left until graduation, I feel like in my profession I need to be an image of health. Which I'm not. My parents have had relationship issues following the surgery, which has really opened my eyes to the fact that I want to do this before I find the person I want to marry so I will be the person my future husband has always known me as. I guess I just want to know how people my age feel after getting to their goal weight. Also since I am a college kid I do like to part take in partying, What is drinking like after having the surgery?
