  1. I was told to discontinue Vitamins for 24 hours before my blood draw. If you had taken them too close to when your blood was drawn, that could explain the elevated levels. B vitamins are Water soluble though. That means if you take extra, you just pee them out. Vitamin D is fat soluble so you "could" take to much and have it stored in your body fat. I doubt however that you are taking a dose that would cause this. I would still take your vitamins until your doctor tells you otherwise. Especially B12 since we are missing the part of our stomachs that absorb it.

Sorry wrote 1 too many 0 - 5000 still way out 900 is the top of the range at least that was what I was told.

  2. First I am not sure how to start a new post? I have had a bit of a scare my first blood test was done and my B12 levels were 5000 900 is normal my D was up too. I was taking b12 every day liquid more than was prescribed anyone know about this high levels really concerned see my surgeon next week?

  3. I was terrified the night before surgery. So hard to explain. Happy at the same time! Its normal hard to explain to your spouse or anyone you just have to go through it and get to the other side!! Good Luck first couple of week are the most overwelming and then you get your act together and it gets easier. I am 7 weeks out.

  4. That seems extreme to me not enough protien or calories. You are definetly in a starvation mode. Think you need to up the Protein to at least 60 gram and calories 600-800. If you read the posts here I think most would agree. I eat every 3 hours something really small 2-3 oz. I think it help keep your metabolizism up?! Just saying.........
