Do u all think a week out of work is enough time off? My biggest problem is that I'm n ER nurse & lately I've seen so many complications coming in. I will say though that I wrk at a military hospital now & maybe that is the reason because when I worked at a civilian hospital I RARELY saw any ppl with complications. Maybe military docs haven't been performing this procedure as long...? Idk just guessing. When I had my band I was only out 2 days...then just took it easy ( no lifting etc). I'm hoping this will be similar. The gas pain was the worse :-( Sent from my iPhone using VST

I am soooo nervous/excited/scared/anxious lol all in one! In 2010 I had a lap band, in 2011 while 20 Wks pregnant my band slipped & I had to have it removed:-( I had to regain all that weight to meet bmi requirements to have the sleeve procedure done. Now I'm just awaiting insurance approval. In a lot of ways I very depressed that I regained all this wait, but I know that the sleeve has got to be a better choice for me. Now why I am scared... I am an ER nurse & it seems there are so many complications with bariatric surgery...ppl I wrk with seem to roll there eyes when a bariatric pt with complications comes in & the thought of something going wrong with me is so nerve racking. Any advice?
