I wish I had given this more thought.. she is not doing anything like a caregiver. if i ask her to do anything she says in supposed to be the one walking. she constantly is/ yelling at me about stupid stuff but that's how she is on a regular basis.I just wish I had a better care giver who would understand my pains and get rid of the tough love she is so used to giving.. has anyone one else gone thru this I understand we should be walking but I have been bending gettin up getting down found way too much.. advice please

  5. My surgery was done on Friday December 28th 2012 when I woke up I remember crying and panicking. my mother was not in sight. she left during my surgery and came back later. I felt so much pain on my belly. I asked the nurses if it was normal and told them I have never felt anything like this before. I had to use the bathroom and had some help from the nurses to guide me to the bathroom. that's when I said to the nurse "does it feel this bad to have a baby" lol I admit I was being very dramatic but when I first woke up I was a total nut case. I don't know why I was so surprised by the pain. once I had some medicine in my veins I instantly felt sick nausea was my body's reaction to the medicine. of course dry hurling doesn't feel very good on your sore stomach. but very soon after the nausea the pain killer kicked in!!!! and I felt great I my time in the hospital I something I ever slept more than 90minutes. and by the end of the night I was going to the bathroom on my own and feeling much better. first thing in the morning starting at about 5am I began to walk. The nurses said I was doing great. from the time I had my surgery was only able to eat ice chipsI felt dehydrated and all I can have was ice chips. ugh they soon became my friend. next day I had to get my x Ray to make sure there was no leaking. I already heard about the terrible liquid we had to drink. so I was a little aware of the terrible taste. but when I saw the machine they want you to stand up straight on and then it leans back unroll your laying down my stomach instantly felt sick. maybe that was me being a baby again but I knew for sure the liquid would be thrown up if they put me on the machine'. long story short I was right and did throw up. but I held it down long enough for them to see that there was no leaking, throw up was caused by acid reflux. the rest of my hospital stay was great except when my meds wore off I would experience pain and when it was time for more medicine my dry hurls advanced each time to throw up. now I'm home staying with my mother laying on the couch. Suresh I really miss that hospital bed. it was easy to get up if I held on to the bars the right way with out using stomach muscles. it's not so easy on a couch. since I don't have an Iv anymore now I have to swallowy painkiller... no fun I have thrown a few of them up and I have never been much of a pill taker. they are dry kind so they get stuck to younger a bit and I tried to drink to much water to wash it down. and that only made me throw it up. I figured that out fast. won't be doing that anymore. well that's all I have to say for now day 2 post op 10am I wish I was in the hospital or at least had a hospital bed and an iv to not have to swallow my pills lol. I'm getting better just more comfortable in hospital. I will update my blog on day 5 post op after my doctors appointment. happy New year to you all.
  6. I too have had my post op xrays.. they say everything loold Hillsborough I threw up that nasty liquid they it was due to acid reflux. now I'm dipping 2 oz of broth.. smells like God food...

  11. Ive done all of my blood work ultrasound endoscope X-rays.. I met with my primary doctor today and she tells me that my EKG is abnormal and she referred me to a cardiologist early Monday morning.... Also blood work revealed that I have high cholesterol.. endoscope shows I have something going on in my stomach... Some kind of pouch on the lining and acid reflux... I had no idea how unhealthy I am I'm dissapointed in n a bit depressed Primary doctor didn't prescribe cholesterol meds since I'm getting surgery soon she just gave me a script for fish oil vitamin, The EKG is what scares me... Something must be wrong with my heart... Do u guys think the surgeon will deny me the surgery.. Would I be considered at risk. I'm 23 years old in april first visit weight 299 before pre op diet 291 day 8 of pre op diet 282
  12. I can't imagine myself 6months post op just in time for summer to show off my new bod lol
  13. Has anyone else experienced acid reflux only after having an endoscope? I can't sleep. And I have never felt anything like this. I am thinking about forgetting this surgery!! I have never experienced this untill they shoved that junk down my throat.. They obviously damaged something. If anyone has any experiences please do contact me or reply because right now I'm about to have a panic anxiety overload. It makes me not trust these doctors. It's probably just there way to damage people and make more money
  14. Is it possible that endoscope did damage? I never had reflux pain or issue before... Now I'm afraid to sleep. I have never experienced anything like this. This is uncomfortable and right now I can't even fall asleep... I never had this before untill today
  15. Me!!! Toooo!!!! 12/28/12 keep in touch we all start together!!!
  16. I had my endoscope today... No pain, a little sore throat now, not very major. But my paper work says I have acid reflux and diverticulum something that starts with the letter P. I'm sorry I don't have the paper work in front of me.. Also once I got home I took a nap and woke up choking it felt like burning throw up in my throat but not into my mouth.. A very wierd filling I had no idea if I should try to cough it up or wash it down with Water... Is that acid reflux? Or was that just normal after endoscope? It scared me I thought I was going to throw up Thanks for any info..
