I may be wrong but I think pepermint is not good for acid reflux just a heads up... When u throw up. Are u vomiting or dry heaving? I believe I may be sliming in my throat. Its like really thick spit clear mucus

I am 5 weeks post op and I have been dry heaving and throwing up too especially water, ice, & gatorade. They come up instantly. Im at the point where ill throw up and drink more. Im tired of it. I havent been able to start school this semester. And I feel the same as you.. Its really just not worth it at this point. Hot black tea went down well. That was the first thing I discovered to go down well. Also crackers and cereal go down fine. I was discouraged from eating and drinking. But im tired of being so weak feeling like a prisoner or like im laying on my death bed. My dr. doesnt have answers he told me to take an enama but i havent seen any difference and also have been to er 2 times.. I also have acid reflux. It sucks that the medical pros will not really find whats wrong

Since I have been throwing up alot. I have tried to drink gatorade low cal... And eat pedialite pops but I cant tolerate even a sip b4 they come back up.

I have been dealing with acid reflux since I was about 2 weeks ost op. Im now almost 5 weeks im supposed to be on my final diet stage but I have mainly been drinking fluids. I take 40 mg of nexium. Im just looking for advice on wat to stay away from. Ive been reading ingredient labels and there is so many different kinds of acid in almost everything... Please give me advise. My reflux makes me throw up. I cant keep anything down ive been to er 2 times with no help

I was admitted to hospital for 3 days testwere done o leak so they sent me home. Ive continued to throw up for days. My pukeing isnt caused by naseau its caused by acid reflux. I have continued to eat and keep myself hydrated. Even tho im throwing up. Its more of a dry heave so not much comes out. Im doing great with hot tea.. Decaf no sugar.. Also just bought pedialite.. It always comes back up but I keep drinking pop sicles to avoid dehydration..

Thanks everyone. The dry mouth cleared up a bit but now is coming back im still dry heaving 3xs today 2xs yesterday. I have been drinking water and decaf tea I have missed 2 days of this new semester. I may have to drop if this doesnt clear up soon. I hate calling on call dr. but ill call tomorrow morning and seewhat he says... Now im not able to drink tea anymore.. Its crayz one minute I tolerate next minute I dont. I have no emotional support at home its hard to deal with this. Its embarassing to dry heavy like im trying to pukeup my lungs... Now im here with a bottle of water I will continue to sip ... I have been on liquids the passed 2 days... I would think I should be hydrated by now. My stomach is probably In bad shape the way I have been dry heaving

Oh really... Thats good to know... I will try it as soon as my belly gets better... It confuses me because isnt tofu meat? How can it be made into a smoothie.. I never even tasted tofu before

Today I bought a tofu smoothie.. I didnt try it no idea if its yummy or not im afraid to try it. Since my belly denies everything...

Also thought about sugar free gum while in,line as I was looking someone distracted my focus... Smh

Well I think maybe its all of the heat in the house making dry air im sipping water and now have a humidifier in my room cant afford to buy bioten right now I hear the product is great but its like every week im buying new things for my conditions. I went grocery shopping and got powerade zero which I have drank before but this time my stomach disagrees... I tried to eat greek yogurt its disgusting... I need to get liquid in some way I should have got pedialite but I thought about it way too late

Your the onlyone who meeds to watch there attitude. My doctor recommended lean cusine pre op so didnt think anything was wrong I only at the chicken blended and was fine secondly weather u have good information or not I dont have to be disrespectful so u can save it.

I dont usually crave sweets. im usually a real food lover... Cooked food... But im craving maybe a fruit cup, Cookies, chocolate, but has to be something soft. At this point I could care less about the calories as long as I can tolorate it and not get sick.... Maybe a piece of toast with jelly or even better pb&j sandwhich.. ;( I know I cant have these things its just what I want
