  4. I'm just the opposite. 4 months out and only lost 20 pounds. That was in first month. Nothing since. I feel like crap. How about you? Soooo wish I hadn't done this!

  6. Don't do it!!! I'm 4 months out and only lost 20 pounds. So dizzy and weak, can hardly function. Only thing I can eat is protein. When I splurge on fruits and veggies, it's at the cost of getting my proteins in. Even though I live on those disgusting protein supplements, my labs show I'm muscle wasting. I would give anything to have my life back. Being fat is much better than living like this.
  7. I lost a lot of hair but had thick mane so it's OK. Worse is the fact that 4 months out have only lost 20 pounds, feel dizzy and unable to function most of day. Two patients had same problem but I didn't listen. Soooooo obsessed with not being fat. I'm close to suicide to be over this. DON'T DO iT!! Before the surgery, I enjoyed life. Now I just hope I die in my sleep or hope a crazy sniper kills me

  12. Hit the send button too soon. It was weeks before the gas made any noise. I was used to just releasing it without noise or smell. THEN I took my 10 yo grandchild out or her birthday. Felt some pressure and let it go. Wouldn't you know, this time it had noise and lots of it. Everyone in the restaurant turned to me and of course my grandchild was in tears laughing!
  13. Take gas x for comfort, but I had no noisy gas relief for several days. It all just reabsorbed

  15. I put injury unflavored in soups etc. can't tell it's there. Frozen is better than room temp for those god awful others
  16. My friend had a leak at 3 months. I girl on this site had a leak at 1 yr. in both cases the leak was already there but very minuscule so took awhile to show up. The staple line takes two years to heal microscopically. My surgeon said its unlikely to happen after the first 2 to 3 months
  17. Call his office and ask. I called about my 1 week post op check and they told me if I had no problems I could wait
  18. We ahead surgery the same time and I've lost 10 pounds.
  19. At 1 week out a friend came to visit. I made her some guacamole and without thinking tasted it for spice adjustment. Thank goodness I realized it and spit it out. I will try the listening trick.
  20. Wow! My nut said no bell peppers or onions til at least 6 weeks. How did your tummy take it?
  21. My surgery was 2 weeks ago. I got out of bed in preop and told them to take out the IV, I had changed my mind. My Dr had to come talk me down. He let me stay 3 days and I was more than ready to go home. Almost no pain! You will be fine!
  22. May 15 here. At 3 days post op I could only get in 2 ounces a day so was still in hospital. Then on day four 30 ounces then on day 5 no problem at all. It just took time for the swelling to go down. The nurse told me to take my pain meds even though I wasn't feeling pain, because my stomach was. She was right. My stomach stopped rebelling. Good luck! Everyday it gets a little better. At 9 days out, I am finally not regretting the surgery so much.
  23. It took me a year to get the courage to o the surgery, so have been following this website for quite awhile. Your problem comes up frequently and it always seems to resolve itself. It must have. Been a real shock tho!
  24. Your doctors office are not very kind. Of course you got sick. You had surgery in flu and cold season. You were in the hospital where the worst of it is. Your immune system is way down because of surgery. Then you spend avdaynor two in the hospital that is inundated with sick people
