Soooo ladies!! I've got an update for you! I'm about to hit 6 months! 76 lbs down... And I just got married this weekend! YAY!

Ok now that I'm not in so much pain I was sleeved on the 20th and had a HUGE hernia repair. I had extreme pain when I woke up. My BUTTON was my BEST FRIEND. I was so sad when they took it away I was up and walking the night of surgery...that wasn't bad. Nausea from the anesthesia was my enemy. It made me dry heave until the doc gave me medication to stop it. I got put on a liquid diet on post op day#2 and I was sent home that same day. I was 316 on the day of surgery, 321 on day#2 post op, and this morning day#4post op I was 314! Pain is minimal but sorta constant on my left side. And it kinda feels like I'm sucking my tummy in when I'm not. Only pain med I take maybe twice a day is liquid extra strength Tylenol (only 5ml) I drink all my liquids 2oz at a time....so far the Protein Shake goes down the smoothest. I have trouble with water...it tends to hurt when it gets to the opening of the stomach. And my TMI moments.....I started passing gas AND my first BM on day#3 post op

I made it. Got my sleeve and had a hiatal hernia repaired too. Pain was rough on waking up but now has calmed down. Really haven't had any gas pains. Just really groggy from anesthesia and probably morphine too. I have a pain pump I can press every 10 minutes. Just sucking on I've chips now. Walked the hallway twice. First time barely made it past my door but second time waked almost half the hallway.

Last post for pre-op. Catch you all on the flip side. Courage you all can do this!!!

I can't believe it's happening so fast.....I just want to take this moment to thank every one of you that have been supportive, offered advice, and have given me plenty of laughs :-) you have made this journey that much easier and I appreciate all of you! *kisses* see you on the other side!

Am I missing something? Are you all being instructed to take clean your insides out before surgery? Did yall not have to do a liquid pre op diet? My doctor didnt say anything about having to take Milk of Magnesium or colon cleanse before my surgery next friday.

I wasn't required to do it either and my surgery is tomorrow morning. Every surgeon has different requirements.

Yes I have the pre op blues tool I want to eat my dog lol. I'm starving tomorrow I have the bowel prep on top of the liquid diet then Wednesday its the big day I almost can't wait so this torture can end lol.

Thank God I don't have bowl prep.....I had to turn my tv off because of all the food shows and commercials.....I want pizza Hut sooooooooooo freakin bad. Today is the first day of my liquid diet that I DIDN'T cheat and of all nights my fam decides to eat FRIED CHICKEN! Arrrrrgh! This is torture......but anywhoo.....I report to the hospital @6am and I'm scheduled to be in the OR @9:30am on Wed. I'm so nervous!

Ok folks I'm getting down to crunch time. Surgery is Monday at 10am, I officially start my liquid diet today (my surgeon rocks, liquids only 2 days out) but I have been slowly working my way towards liquids only. He isn't requiring I take magnesium citrate, but I am going to anyways, later today. Not really scared just nervous excited. Oh and my birthday is tomorrow, I think I got myself the best present ever.

i think at some point all of us get scared. i have a almost 9yr old son. he is scared for me to stay overnight in the hospital. im dreading the morning i have to leave him because i know there will be alot of tears. but i will stay strong because i am doing this for him :-)
