    Got god?

This forum is in the United States of America right! Freedom of speech baby! Those of you who do not like, don't post and keep going. Imworthit- there are some Christians groups on here that maybe you can join. That way you will not have to hear such negativity from non believers.

How was your 5:2 day today?

M2G- I still bounce all over the place until about 2to3 days later. Then it will settle. I have learned not to get on the scale until the second day after a fast. Cheri - you are a very strong woman, there is no way I could deal with everything you do and not gain weight. Laura- I think maybe the stress last night from the ( I need advice) post, might be the culprit for you being hungry and ofcourse the fast to. I have noticed when I am super stressed I feel like I am starving. To everyone hope you have a great weekend.
  6. Whatever you decide to try becareful, you are still newly sleeved and your small new stomach might not agree with the new spices. If I were you maybe let the husband order somethings and try one bite at a time and see if your new stomach can handle it. Good Luck

How was your 5:2 day today?

Mine came in at 507 in calories. Still feel hungry maybe I'll munch on some ice. Hope everyone had a great day. Will weigh in Saturday to see if anything was lost. Thinking of maybe doing the 5:2 on Tuesday and Friday, I think a couple of days inbetween might make a little difference. We will see I will start it next week.

    I need Advice!

What does her doctor or (peditrition) think about her having this surgery? Do they even allow 14yr olds to have this type of surgery hear in the US? I think you as a mom need to take a step back and reall consider what you are teaching your daughter. You need to make sure you have done every diet every weightloss attempt and then maybe when she is older talk about this procedure with her. I am really upset that you are considering giving her an elective surgery like this that could possibly harm her while being on the operating table or afterwards with some life threatening complications. Enroll her in Weight Watchers find a fitness camp something other than putting her life in danger. She is only 14, how do you know when she is older she wont resent you for allowing her to do this? You are the mom do what is truly best for her, get her some help through counseling and find out why she has gained and is gaining weight before you put your daughters life at risk by having an elective surgery. Im walking away from this now! My emotions on this are horrified, I would never put my daughters or son in harms way. We are subpose to protect them!

How was your 5:2 day today?

Have a Happy Fast Day everyone! MG2- I would fast tomorrow, that way you can really enjoy your time with you friend. Cheri- What your hubby said is the truth, alot of women give up taking care of themselves after having children. Keep your head high and strut your stuff you have earned it. Georgia- What can I say, you are rocking this 5:2 diet like no one else. FYE- I love how I feel on the fast days as well, I think it's the control I feel. Orgendaisy- Don't let that broken arm hold you back from anything! You are strong and will persevere through anything. Ms Skinniness- Those carb demons are always around the corner, I have to tell myself all the time to walk away lol. Easier said than done. Laura- You are awesome! Thanks for being a friend. To Everyone on here, lets rock this 5:2 today and show our bodies whose BOSS lol. Sorry if I missed anyone.

  11. Coops What a very true role model and inspiration you are! I am losing slow as well, if it were not for you and the rest of the 5:2 gang I would be so down on myself as to why I have not accomplished my goal by now. So I want to say thank you to and all the gang, you all are the reasons I come back to read the forums.
  12. You look amazing congratulations!

    I need Advice!

I am not trying to be negative but, have you read about all the complications that can happen? If it was up to me I probably would not let her get it. I would not be able to live with my self if she got a leak, blood clot or any of the horrible complications that could happen. I wish you both the best of luck and pray you will make the right decision for her.

How was your 5:2 day today?

Sorry I have not posted in a few days. My daughter and her husband came from Kansas for a few days and I sure wanted them to stay. It has been a hard few days. Trying to fight the emotional eating demon. I am so glad to see everyone doing ok. I really dont know why but I have been sad, angry and then sad again. Who knows. Glad to be back on track here, this keeps me in line lol.

    So depressed

I am so sorry you are feeling this way, it happened to most of us after the surgery. First I really think you need to keep your fluids going in, they may help with the cramps because you may be dehydrated. As for eating make sure you are taking very small bites and chew until there is nothing else to chew. I woul only take maybe 3 bites and wait a little while before trying again. If you are eating eggs or milk products becareful because after this surgery alot of people become lactose intolerant, I did and still have trouble with eggs. And if all else fails call your surgeon and maybe they can help. Again as for the cramps drink powerade or gatorade to keep hydrated your potasium could be low. Good luck and keep us posted.

    umbilical hernia?....

I had one before surgery and also a Hiatal Hernia. They repaired my Hiatal Hernia but not the Umbilical Hernia.
  19. Yes the heavy feeling does mean your full. Right now being on liquids its kind of hard to tell, with your stomach still being numb. So take it easy, only drink the amount your surgeon wants you to so you dont hurt your new little stomach. And ofcourse Congratulations and welcome to the sleeve side.
  20. I think you should see a different dr. If the insurance already approved you, you should be able to go somewhere else. I am sorry this is happening with you. Keep your head up and please dont let them get you down. It will happen.
  21. Welcome to the sleeve side! As for drinks take it slow and sip sip sip. Maybe if you sip it in to your mouth and let it trickle down your throat, thats what I did the first few days. Congratulations
  22. Wow what a difference a year makes! Congratulations you look great!

    Fasting question

I think you have an 8 hour window to eat. I know the night before the fast day , you want to have 12 hours of no eating and then you have 8 hours to eat. After the 8 hours you have 12 hours where you don't eat until the next day and you eat regular. I think that's how it goes, I could be wrong, the best person to ask would probably be Georgia. I hope this helps you.
