  1. Seriously...you don't even look like the same person! Maybe the younger sister of the lady in black. :)

Would you mind sharing how you handled your sleeve adjustment phase?

    Thanks!

Ya know I really didn't do Anything special. I found the foods and portions that worked for me and stuck with it. I stick to a calorie budget and try to focus on Protein intake. Everyone is difference so just do what works for you!'

  2. A little over a year later. Started at 253 now 145. 20 pounds from goal. Thank you gastric sleeve. Changed my self esteem changed my life. I wish i had better preop pictures but I always stayed away from cameras. The first two are a day before surgery the last one was a couple weeks ago. I'd have this surgery again and again. The first few months adjusting was Hell but I wouldn't change a thing. I love my sleeve.

  3. I've lost 108 pounds so I'm definitely rockin some sag lol. I have saggy arms, saggy thighs and a saggy belly :( it doesn't matter how much I run or how many arm exercises I do the skin is still there. I see body reconstruction in my future but I guess I'd rather be thin and saggy than overweight and out of breath. Keep your head up you're still beautiful

  4. I went out to dinner with my boyfriend today (this is not the frustrating part' date=' lol). He ordered half a dozen garlic rolls smothered in butter, rib rolls, full rack of ribs, and a brownie sundae. Oh, and 4 refills of his coke.

I had half of a mahi sandwich without the bread and maybe a tablespoon of black Beans.

Since I was done much earlier than him, I sat there and essentially watched him eat. At one point, just as a morsel of BBQ Sauce started dripping down the side of his mouth, I felt a really strong urge to smack the ribs out of his hand and yell SSSTOOOOPPPPP EATINGGGGGG!!!! I mean, seriously. He INHALES his food. I could swear that sometimes he doesn't even chew it. It's really unattractive to see him eat so much. Does anyone else feel this way? Am I a horrible girlfriend? Lol

Oh, and as I write this, he just went to the kitchen for a "tiny snack". Smh

I know he doesn't order so much delicious food on purpose. He's a big guy (6'3" and maybe 220lbs) so I understand he won't be satisfied with a Caesar salad. But c'mon.

Let me say one more thing: I have no desire to eat any of the stuff that he ordered. I was perfectly happy with my sandwich. but ordering and eating all that food?? Does anybody else get frustrated/annoyed/disgusted when watching people eat unhealthy food? Is it just me?[/quote']

I truly know exactly how you feel and I feel guilty for feeling this way. Anytime I see my husband snacking or pigging out I just get so grossed out I have to leave the room. It is the most unattractive thing in the world and I try to drop little hints like, "hey shouldn't that box of snack cakes last a whole week not an hour?" But he doesn't catch on. He isn't overweight and he can eat enormous amounts of calories without gaining weight because his job is a physical labor job and he works 12+ hours a day. It's just frustrating to watch. It annoyed me a little before surgery but not too bad because I ate junk too but now it's just super gross and it makes me sad that I'm so grossed out by it.

  5. Looking for size 16 jeans and xlarge shirts. I'm only 22 so I'm looking for clothes that match my age group. I have very trendy jeans I can trade size 18, 20, 22. I also have some trendy casual dresses I can trade, mostly size 2x. I always wore them with spandex. Ill give pictures if you do (: I realize if your giving away 16s you probably don't need bigger sizes but maybe you know someone in need of bigger sizes. If trading isn't an option for you, just let me know how much you're charging for clothes. Thank you

  6. I found a coffee smoothie recipe on Pinterest and I added to it a little but now my stomach is in freakin knots and I didn't even drink half of the portion I have myself. I blended 2tbsp instant coffee, 2tbs vanilla powder Creamer, 1/2cup ff milk, 1 scoop Unjury unflavored Protein Powder, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, 1tsp cocoa powder, 2 packets of stevia and ice. It's about 215 calories and 25g Protein. It makes A LOT and its super filling so its like Breakfast and a snack but I didn't even get down half of my half portion and I'm getting really sharp pains 3 in. Above my belly button. Is it the caffeine from the coffee because everything else seems pretty harmless. I don't normally have caffeine so I'm not sure if anyone has had this problem? I had like two sips of a diet snapple about a month ago and didn't like it so I didn't finish it so that's my caffeine experience. I'm 11 weeks out today so I didn't think a little coffee would be harmful. What are your thoughts? Please don't be critical of calories, carbs, protein, nutrition value as that is not my question... I just want to know about dangers and side affects of caffeine if any. Thanks so much in advance.

  7. Ok' date=' you younger ladies or any ladies that are more in tune with fashion. How weird would leggings look on a 54 year old fat woman with a dress? I only see 6 year olds in leggings but I see skinny chicks in skin tight pants that are like leggings. With a dress they should end under your knee right? I just cant bare my fat white legs to the public.[/quote']

I wear dresses and leggings almost everyday. I'm 22 so I know you are worried about being too old but I don't think you are. As long as the dress suits your style I'm sure you could pull it off :)

  8. Umm I'm almost 47 I haven't lost a ton yet but there will be flappy skin for me. I was cleaning my coral tanks yesterday in a tank top.. can you say bat wings ! :P

Haha! that's a pretty picture! Bald and flappy :D

There is no way you are 47 you look 30!!!!!!

  9. I'm sorry you are struggling with an alcohol problem sweetie but you shouldn't have to hide who you are for fear of judgement. If "we" judge you than you shouldn't take advice from us anyways. I understand being embarrassed or feeling like you failed but YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE. Consuming that much alcohol that often is very dangerous. Part of the reason we all get surgery is because we want to be healthy. It's not worth it love to get surgery and lose all that weight if you are just going to pick up something else that's just as dangerous. I think if you went to therapy it would really help you, quite frankly I think the whole world needs therapy lol. But the reason I say therapy is because maybe there is an underlying issue that you aren't even aware of. I'm going to school to be a drug and alcohol counselor so I'm actually learning about all this. If you ever need to talk you can private message me and I WILL NOT judge you. Sometimes people don't even know what's bothering them or drawing them to have an addiction until they start talking to someone they can trust and then it all spills out.

  10. This thread totally cracks me up. The gas is seriously unbelievable. I tell my hubs all the time that I'm so grossed out by my bodily functions now. I even belch really loud and its embarrassing because I never use to do that unless I drank soda which was rare. But hey if it promotes wait loss... All the more power to us all ;)

  11. I ate a bit of cupcake and it was awful! The cake was fine' date=' I think. It was the frosting. It turned my stomach. I ate a bit of chocolate a couple of weeks ago and it just tasted different. Not as good as it used to. sugar free popsicles seem to be the only sweet I can tolerate anymore. I just wish potato chips and French fries were as repugnant. I would be set for life![/quote']

I think that's what it was for me. I ate some of a strawberry shortcake roll and it had a lot of frosting in it... Gag. Now that it made me so sick it doesn't sound good at all. Sugar just grosses me out. Even sugar in yogurt makes me sick so idk why I even attempted the other crap, moment of weakness I guess. Chips use to be my all time favorite snack and now I don't really care for them. I eat one and get heartburn so those I don't eat either. I haven't had French fries, they sound greasy and icky. I wish I didn't have to experiment with food, I wish I knew ahead of time what my stomach likes and hates.

  12. I did that too. I ate lie 3 bites of my sons birthday cake' date=' and felt awful! So i just stay away from things with a lot of sugar. A little doesn't bother me, but i try to avoid it. Lessons learned, and you are right, all that matters is that you learned from it.[/quote']

Thank you. Yea I didn't have very much but it was enough to make me feel horrible for like an hour. Won't make that mistake twice

  13. Omg, I ate sugary crap for the first time and I'm definitely feeling the repercussion. It's honestly a good thing sugar makes me feel like garbage because I learn the first time and it is so not worth the way I feel. I feel like I have a hangover plus the way people feel after stuffing their face at thanksgiving. Major fail today but I learned my lesson so that's all that matters.

  14. Please be careful! Eating Fiber as an appetite suppressant without drinking enough liquid to pass it through can cause blockage and lead to very serious complications. Trust me! I had my intestines twist and had to have a bowel resection which was REALLY horrible!! It didn't happen for me because of fiber but was just a freak thing. Either way' date=' it is definitely NOT something you want to go through!![/quote']

Really, I didn't know that but I'm very regular in the bathroom department, always have been and I haven't had any issues going to te bathroom since surgery but I will keep what you said in mind in case anything changes
