  2. There is one called Avitae one has as much caffeine as a soda the the other one as much as coffee..im picky about the taste of my bottled water and this is good
  3. Thats awesome! I dont think there is any set amount to lose in the first few weeks. Everybody is different and can depend on your starting weight. As long as your feeling good and doctor says it good...enjoy!
  4. Hey! State College PA here, your date is coming up how exciting! Work depends a lot on what you do and your doctor recommends ..some go back within a week others need more time..I will be taking about 3 weeks off...good luck..also if you search there are a few threads going around for PA sleevers!

Maybe an afternoon date something active where a cool refreshing protein shake would be yummy! I paid for couple dating sites and ended up meeting my hubby on Twitter lol good luck have fun and be safe!
  6. What are you mixing them with? Some set better with me with water others with milk..have you tried and ready to drink? A lot of people like Premier Protein rtd sold at like Walmart Sams club think costco but only comes in chocolate and vanilla...alum maybe try something like Atkins advantage little lower in protein but may help your body get use to it...since your pre op this is good time to check them all out lol including plant based
  7. I think both have their advantages, some people are more social than others and find the live contact far more helpful, making that human connection, pat on the hand, look of understanding, smiles of encouragement all that you cant get from a computer screen. But on the other hand some people dont need that or are not able to get to live meetings such as myself. Being a truck driver I cant make a live support group but the support online is always there when I need it. So I think there is a need for having the option of both!
  8. Just curious, but you said he makes good money and I know UPS provides good benefits so why stay on medicaid?
  9. Thank you for sharing, you look kinda hot I have to say! Im glad to see you were able to lose it by really focusing on your diet, I will be doing the same as my job/lifestyle leaves very limited time for exercise so working my sleeve with the right foods will be goal one for me.
  10. I read something but cant find it again but it explains simply how the sleeve works and why some foods fill you up and others slide...basically you have a valve at the base of your stomach dense protein rich foods will close this valve quickly and that is why they tell you protein first so that closes and you dont over eat. Slider foods usually not the good for your new lifestyle foods will not trigger this valve and just slide on through which means no full feeling and more calories. Also check out Emilybites.com for some yummy meals made in cupcake tins called cupcake meals...perfect size normal food and your family will love them too!
  11. Hello all Im going on month 8 of my 6 month required program for insurance. I am still waiting for a date due to a yellow light from psych because of my job. I meet with her again in a couple weeks so Im just gonna hop on the Sept bandwagon and hope! Lol I have gone thru classes and meeting and labs and testing, lost required weight 30lbs. I have tried and stocked my shelves with almost every protein prepared for my 2 week pre op ...I feel like im in limbo now
  12. You can look online I have found the big bottles for as low as 5 bucks
  13. How far out are you? Do you get your protein and water in? Are you eating to few calories? Sleeve is only a tool you still have to work it which means watching what to do food wise AKA diet
  14. Sounds yummy, ill have to try it..I love using the syrups! I add a little to my plain greek yogurt, its not as sweet as the flavored ones Thanks for sharing!
  15. I love when people tell me "o your not that big" as im pushing almost 300lbs..I just smile and say you want my body for a few days? When you can no longer take the weight mentally or physically and you know you have tried your best and worst (unsafe measures) to lose it, its time. Only you live in your body and know when your ready BMI is only a number. Good luck!
