    All of my December sleevers...

    Surgery 12/21. 202 Today 190. 12 pounds yay! Baby steps but steps nonetheless!
  2. How far post op are you? My surgeon said if I just have to have a coke. I can after 3 weeks. He said fill glass with ice and pour coke over it and let it sit for at least 20 minutes while the Ice melts and water dilutes and bubbles leave. I had quit sodas about 4 months before surgery. It was a tough item to give up because a sonic cherry Dr Pepper was like therapy from a awful day at work. :-). Good luck!
  3. 10 pounds in one week is awesome! Don't sell yourself short. liquids to prevent dehydration is the most important thing to focus on. Stay upbeat.... :-)

  5. Good evening ladies and gents. Update. Surgery 12/21. All is going well. Today has been very light pain only enough to constitute 1 pain pill around noon today. Thanks for all the prayers, well wishes and the after surgery virtual flowers. Tomorrow we fly home. ThecruveJ was a great sleeve buddy and her traveling friend who had surgery 10 months ago was truly a God Sent. Kim..... Thank you...... ThecurveyJ. Keep in touch. Let me know you make it home safe.   7. I am back in room. Sleepy! I had a hernia that was also repaired. My hubby is aging tacos. They smell I amazing. So far so good. Woot woot.

  10. Advise..... Woke up. Head hurting, throat, and snot ( yuck).Coughing, ears aching. Surgery Friday. Any things you ca take pre surgery? Wondering if surgery will even happen. Yikes... Not good.

    All I want for Christmas is: A smooth complication free surgery on 12/21. Memories with friends and family. Peace for all the parents that lost their babies in the school shooting the other day. A pair of sexy panties instead of granny style. Ha!
  13. 12/21 sleeve date. Excited, nervous, scared, excited! I have been doing a lot of reading on this site for the last couple of months but have never posted anything till now. I will be sleeved by Dr Alvarez.

    My VSG journey :)

    I am scheduled for a vsg on 12-21-2012 with dr Alvarez. My nerves are about to get the best of me. During al this process I hurt my Back and see a neurologist Monday 17th. I'm afraid I may have to cancel my appt. I have a herniated disc at my L5. I will be stuck between which surgery fo I have first. Any thoughts? If I am able to keep my appt I will probably see you walking in the halls. I wish you a great surgery and speedy recovery.
